Guy is the best college QB I have seen in my 30 years and will prob go down as the most decorated in history. Do you honestly belive that Florida will not see a significant let down when he is gone. I know Florida will always have someone capable but really? Someone close to Tebow? Be honest.

Brantley is pretty fricking good.

Brantley is being overhyped. He is not going to be NEAR the type of QB Tebow is.

There wont be another like him in a long time.
I expect a 9-3 in 2010. However, like 2007, it wont be because of breaking in a new QB. Our defense is gonna be depleted worse than USC's was this past season.
I do expect a little bit of a let down. Brantley is good, but not Tebowgreat.
I can compare him to...Chris Leak. Except, he has the balls to run, and has a stronger arm.

No shite, but he could be an above average QB, and with the talent/coaching at UF that should be enough.

Tebow is leaving Florida the best QB of all-time (for them). Brantley won't be close. They will drop off fairly noticeably after Tebow is gone.

we wont win the SEC in 2010. Probably wont win the East, but we'll compete for it.
But we'll be SEC and outside NC contenders by 2011. We're as talented as every other team in the conference.

I would only see 9-3 if half of our junior class leaves early. The thing is we have enough talent to win without an elite qb, even though I expect Brantley to be one of the best in the SEC. Ubran now has full recruiting classes and we will not have a dropoff of talent.

When I hear people talk about this I always wonder what they mean. Is it more along the lines of an off year, or are you wondering if Florida is going to fall of the face of the Earth once Tebow is gone?

Cam Newton still behind Brantley?

Yea, I think he is why that offense has worked as well as it has against SEC defenses. Once he is gone if Meyer keeps that spread going where the QB is the #1 in carries expect the wins-losses record to revert back to what you saw under Zook b/c other than that high presure speed-spread Meyer is an otherwise poor coach

Who knows what Brantley can do? I hear he will very good and I hope he will be. Once thing I do know is that Tebow is a great player and person and Florida fans are lucky he plays for us. So guess what? I am not going to worry about next year until next year. This year I am going to enjoy watching Tebow play and be thankful he plays for us and respresents our university. As Gump would say, that's all I have to say about that.

I think nobody knows how UF is going to do without Tebow. Due to the timing of CUM's arrival it leaves us to ask is it his style of coaching or the players he's had...or both. He did win a NC with Chris Leak and Leak was definitely not Tebow. I do think UF will drop off a bit with the new QB but that's only because of normal growing pains. Not saying they'll be great or horrible going forward but either way won't be due to the departure of Tebow

I've actually been high on Brantley ever since he came out of high school. I think he'll be a great QB and better pro prospect than Tebow. Now doing what Tebow has done in college is impossible, but I do think they will win ten games next season and be in the title hunt in 2011.

I honestly think Brantley is the best pro prospect the gators have had since Grossman or Matthews. Will it translate to year one success I don't know I think it entirely depends upon how many of our juniors come back on both offense and defense. If all of our juniors come back we will with a toss up in the champ game. If that means another National title shot then so be it, but I doubt it.
If some of the juniors come back I expect florida to win the east and lose the title game by a pretty wide margin. The East is going to be weak in 2010, new QBs for UF/UGA/UT for starters. UF's will have the most experience so picking them isn't much of a stretch. The West in 2010 however should be stacked and will likely have 2 national title contenders in LSU and bama.
So if everyone comes back, gators will probably be in the hunt again, if only some do it will be a reversal of this year where UF is in a league of its own and while the west is good, it will likely not have anyone competing for a title this year.
If none of our juniors come back I'm looking forward to 2007 2.0.
