Comparing Tennessee to another schools entire athletic department sure does prove your point....

True, but I think Florida is a very unique rags-to-riches case. They went from literally nothing before Spurrier to becoming the most dominate SEC program after Spurrier...and have been ever since.
Had a nation championship by some publications... (Not exactly nothing)

Bama fans watch a different clip than everyone else. TR had a full head of steam too, and couldn't run over one defender who stopped all forward movement for a loss on the down.

I guess Tebow leaving is all some people have to look forward to? This is discussed every time I come on this board, and all of you guys will be disappointed.

There wont be another like him in a long time.
I expect a 9-3 in 2010. However, like 2007, it wont be because of breaking in a new QB. Our defense is gonna be depleted worse than USC's was this past season.
I do expect a little bit of a let down. Brantley is good, but not Tebowgreat.
I can compare him to...Chris Leak. Except, he has the balls to run, and has a stronger arm.
I would only see 9-3 if half of our junior class leaves early. The thing is we have enough talent to win without an elite qb, even though I expect Brantley to be one of the best in the SEC. Ubran now has full recruiting classes and we will not have a dropoff of talent.
re: WR Soloman Patton picks Florida

Great pickup, have always loved this kid.
What does Patton have to do with him? They are not being recruited for the same role...
And by the way, Florida will not take more than 25 in this class. (And Bama/Florida are not fighting for second...)

why is scout better than rivals
Only for the LSU information according to people on this site. Each team will have different writers/or insiders for each site.
Overall Rivals has FAR better ranking and a national scene. As well as much more active boards including the nation board.

Funny, how everyone around the country agrees that this year's QB class is much weaker, yet Four 5* QBs.
Scout is a complete joke.

can one of you subscribers tell us who made Lattimore's list of eight?
Alabama: "They run the football. I like coach [Burton] Burns. He and my offensive coordinator are good friends. He has told me how good of a person and coach he is. Nick Saban says enough."
Auburn: "The fans really are the main reason I like Auburn. All the traditions they have there is great. They stress family. I come from a similar offense, and it would be an easy transition."
Clemson: "It's right here, not too far away. I like the coaches. I like their running game. Some of my teammates are up there now. It would be good to play with them again."
Florida State: "Coach Carter is my man. He is my favorite coach. I have a really good relationship with him and coach Fisher. I like what coach Fisher did at LSU. I like the coaching staff really. I like the offense they run. It's appealing to me."
Maryland: "I talk to the offensive coordinator [James Franklin] and running backs coach [John Donovon]. I also talk to the head coach [Ralph Friedgen and coach [Al] Seamonson. They run a Pro-style offense, and they need backs. That’s one thing that appeals to me about them. They have a lot of big alums."
North Carolina: "I like coach Butch Davis, coach Blake and the running backs coach [Ken Browning]. Coach Davis has had the most first rounders out of all the coaches I named. They run a Pro-style offense, not that far from home. It would be good to say you started the running back thing at UNC."
Penn State: "I haven't visited, but I know they run the football. I have heard about the fans. I was talking to Khairi Fortt. He talked about the fans and tradition. They have Joe Paterno. It would be great to play for him."
South Carolina: "I like coach Graham. I am anxious to see how their running game is going to look this year. They were one of my favorites at one time. I still like them, but want to see how they do this year. They have a lot of tradition."

They took Janzen Jackson and Darren Myles in the last class.
Gotcha. Probably just offered the best but are recruiting for the positions of need.

You just ruined it for me. I think it is okay against Texas though.

When was the last time a thread blew up like this without LSU or recruiting involved?

Why does the safety list seem small. Do you guy actually expect to land some of them from CA?

pfft. Everyone knows socks are the telltale recruiting clothing item.

I see it has already been argued, but Alabama gets too much credit. Signing a ton of kids gives them a high ranking, but it doesn't make you the top recruiters.
I'm also not a believer than Tennessee will bring in anything special.

One of the reasons Texas won't have as much of an amazing class as it looked like to begin with.

Best offensive highlight from the 2010 that comes to mind is Da'Rick Rogers.
He'll be a 5 star by the end of the year. I couldn't believe he wasn't in the top 100 the first time I saw his video (he has since moved up).
My first thought as well.
Don't know why you don't like Joiner though. He is an FSU lock and even I will admit he is the best cb in this class.

Is this the one from Miami? I'm thinkin he's like a D Byrd clone.
Come on down Reed and complete this WR class.
Unless this guy is also from Miami, I think you are thinking of Kenbrell Thompkins. Kenbrell is in the same situation with UF, where he is ready to commit but the staff has to look into it first.
