This sort of thing smells very Kiffin-esque. I don't care who the audience was. Pretty dumb thing to say in the age of Twitter and Facebook.

It was at a booster meeting and probably got a good laugh. It's a shame that a tongue in cheek comment gets the natives so restless.
I hope he doesn't apologize.

Then he should have known not to be so reckless.

That's the way this thing seems to be trending. Davis is getting killed on Nashville sports talk radio (we are usually pretty balanced).

Mark May calls Davis a "backstabbing coward". Wow. LINK
On the bright side, if Lou Holtz had said this someone would have drowned.

Mark May being his usual douche-self with this quote. This really is much ado about nothing.
Freakin ridiculous.
The guy said he thinks Will has the same DNA as Nick as far of coaching goes. That's meant to be a compliment to Nick, and a reassurance to the FLA boosters he was addressing. If Will has a better, more welcoming personality, so be it. When it's time to get down to buisness and the rubber meets the road - I'd rather have a guy with Nick's DNA behind the steering wheel.
I fail to see how this quote is critical for Saban in any way????

Sorta the way I saw it. Davis is saying Muschamp is a great coach in part because he learned from the best (saban).
He is also saying Saban is a raging a-hole that no one wants to work with over an extended period and Muschamp is much more tolerable as a HC, maybe even enjoyable to work with, but we already knew the saban part.
So really the only thing I took from it is Muschamp is not bad to work under. Not exactly big or significant news one way or the other.

I know that had to be painful to type, so I'm just helping you get numb to the phrase.

It's really sad the type of "news" we must deal with during the offseason.
Typical tabloid media sensationalist garbage.
Nobody gives a crap who called who what.
Is it football season yet plz?

I have no idea on how to respond to sane Alabama fans.

I've met quite a few sane Bama fans since they destroyed Notre Dame in January

That's funny. For those of us who have been married awhile, we know how you feel.
