Breezy already covered it I suppose, but @ I don't have enough time to post something coherent, but I have enough time to write a useless post telling everyone that my job is the reason why I can't post.

I'm working while I type this. It's amazing how once you have a big boy job, a good portion of your work day can end up consumed with calls that you have no real significant role in.

The answer was obvious from your first reply btw... you just keep confirming it over and over again.

You guys are so fricking obtuse.

Yeah, I've read the OP and have stated that the only thing I really give a shite about is Steele leaving. The other shite is inconsequential in the long run.

OH NO Mullen trolling UGA made him look like a hypocrite OH NO

The point remains the incessant bumping of this thread by UGA fans whenever a 3* decommits or a third-string LB gets hurt shows some serious insecurities. Why else would you give a shite about our 3* commits or third-string LBs?

"This entire thread is Georgia smack talk!"-StrawsDrawnatRandom

Poor, poor gators. Everybody is picking on them, and they just sit there and take it. Most of those comments came in the first 3 pages of the thread. And over the years it has been worse. Now that the tables have been turned you want to pout because Georgia fans are dishing it right back at you and you want to sit in the corner and pout about it.

That was my quote, not Straws, and you were trying to play the victim because us mean old Gators were being bad and this thread was basically righting the wrong we have done to you. Don't try and turn the tables on me like a democrat.

I'm starting to feel bad for UGa fans, and that takes a lot. How can you guys have such an inferiority complex after waxing us on the field and in recruiting the last few years? You don't have to make anything up, you have plenty of ammo as it is.

So you think Florida fans are talking more shite than Georgia fans?

At this point, no... earlier in the year, absofrickinglutely. But that's the thing... if you chirp over and over about how you're going to be great in 2019 after a 3rd or 4th place East finish the year before, win in Jax this year by multiple touchdowns, Kirby is Mark Richt and nothing more, etc... and then you have all this shite start to pile up in your off season, you (as a collective fanbase and your mouthpiece of a coach) have invited all the shite talking back on yourself... If we had done it and then shite went sideways, you can rest assured, it would be more than just Gators piling on... (look back at some of the Justin Fields threads after he transferred... which were justified given how some fans acted like we were somehow guaranteed success after landing him on the heels of Fromm's success).

It's like a kid who sprays water on another kids shorts and then says he peed his pants and tries to get people to laugh at him... but everyone saw him do it. Then he *actually* pees his pants and can't figure out why people are laughing at him.

quote:
Or do you just think that the smack Georgia is talking is warranted and the Florida smack talk is not?

I think it seems a little misguided talking smack about a game which you've lost by 2 TDs or more both of the past two seasons, meanwhile you're mostly losing better talent than you're replacing it with, and your coach seemingly has UGA so much on his mind it's potentially distracting him from running the program effectively to the point that all of this offseason shite is raining down around him. It just seems odd... Ultimately, you guys do you though.

FWIW, I think many UGA fans are chalking the 19 UF game up as a much easier win than I think it will be (and possibly having a little amnesia on what last year's game actually felt like due to the final score)... I would figure this year plays a lot more like last season's, where the game does have a bit of a back and forth feel for a good chunk but with UGA ultimately winning by 7-14 or so... 2020 would seem to be the year for UF to target as a "we need to win this game or this could start to feel like a massive tidal shift"... We would be most likely replacing QB, LT, RT, RB1 on offense at a minimum and a big chunk of DL players should be turning over as well as 1-2 safety spots.

Do you even read the Georgia fans posts ITT or anywhere on the rant? I don't think you do. Let's do an experiment. I will be the guinea pig.

I do... I also read Gator posts...

If you got nothing else out of that post, just read the first sentence to your first question:

"So you think Florida fans are talking more shite than Georgia fans? "

"At this point, no... earlier in the year, absofrickinglutely."

So your new response thread (to a response thread - which is sadly a low point in your posting career if you ask me. ) is asking a question that has already been answered. There was no impasse.

It is fun to laugh at Gators.

Your replies make it more enjoyable than just the 3 star decommits alone.

big boy job

Oh I’m super impressed. Someone with a “big boy job” certainly doesn’t refer to it as such. I made myself quite clear yesterday. You think Mullen will never be better than he was at State, I disagree and don’t think his record at State means much. End of story we’ll see who’s right “big boy”. Enjoy the job you’re obviously not necessary for. Sucks you haven’t found your calling yet and can just coast through your work day. Ever thought that might be why you still live with your mom and make $15 a hour?

Here's the thing. Mullen did wonders at MSU because MSU is a historically garbage program that hasn't won shite in many decades so any moderate success is going to be looked at as some kind of savior. In 9 seasons at MSU mullen had one single season with less than 4 losses, which ended wiht 3 losses. Of the big 3 opponents in that division, he had only 1 season where he "only" lost to 1 of them. Every other season he lose to either 2 or all 3.

So now enter UF. Yes, it's common sense that he will have better players and be able to recruit better talent to UF than to MSU, I don't think anyone doubts that. But he is still going to have to prove that he can win the big games utnil he proves otherwise. I don't think any of even the most unhinged UGA fans think that he's a total dud or he can't win some games here and there. But racking up a bunch of 9 win seasons is entirely irrelevant if you keep losing to the only good teams on the schedule. We only have 1 year at UF to go on but he of course lost the biggest game in the division (UGA), as well as getting pantsed by missouri and lost to UK for hte first time in decades. The narrative hasn't changed one bit from MSU to UF. What will you think if next year he goes 10-2 but loses to UGA and either AU or LSU? It will be the same old story we've all come to know. Good season, solid number of wins, lost the only important ones that matter.

Ok. They might... maybe... if they feel like they're talking to someone who is twelve or operating with mental faculties that are approximately equivalent?

Can you show me the post where I claimed this? You have a strange habit here of reinventing what's been said.

I would be lucky to live with my mom... she's awesome and is a better cook than my wife, and childcare gets a lot easier. But no... she lives about 5 hours away on the beach in a house that I pay the expenses on. Gotta take care of momma. She raised us and helped put us through college on a roughly $15/hour job by herself. to all the awesome moms out there.

But, I believe the quote was talking about "this whole thread", so I was merely pointing out that Gator fans have been doing their fair share of smack talking, too.

It just seems odd that for all the years Gator fans have been giving us crap that when we start turning the tables you guys want to cry foul?

Jackie Sherrill won the west and took us to Atlanta. Dan Mullen didn't come close.

Honestly, I don't understand why Florida posters bother to come into this thread. I would have abandoned it a long time ago.

LOL what an accomplishment.

Records of the west teams in 1998
Mississippi State 6 – 2 8 – 5

Arkansas 6 – 2 9 – 3

Alabama 4 – 4 7 – 5

Ole Miss 3 – 5 7 – 5

LSU 2 - 6 4 – 7

Auburn 1 – 7 3 – 8

Pretty easy to win the west when Bama, Lsu, and Auburn are all shite. Look, I know you're mad that Mullen left and then led the Gators to a victory over yall last year but you just need to take a deep breath and let it go. You're Mississippi State, yall just aren't meant to win championships.

Florida fans like to repeat that Mullen was Miss St's best coach ever.
Subjectively, maybe.
Statistically, no.

Mullen had a winning SEC record once in 9 seasons.
That had been done before (and more than once).

In the end, I don't think Florida fans care about facts.
They see what they want to see and will continue to do so until they flip on their coach like they did in an instant with Muschamp and McElwain.
