Arkansas fans will continue to display their jealousy/fear of the addition of Texas A&M. Arkansas fans will continue to obsess over Texas A&M.

How about, Arkansas Beats A&M 4th time in a Row! Why do the Aggies not honor their contracts? Jerry may not forget...

Arkansas fans will continue to claim "this is the year" against Alabama.

I know they are not Texas of a few years ago but they still have one of the top secondaries in america, a talented DL, and some stud running backs.

They will most likely be ranked in the 18-20 range when they come to Oxford sept 15th. It's easy to forget that this team won 9 games last year and brings alot back from that team.

If Ole Miss beats Texas I will gladly buy every Rebel I meet for the next year 3 drinks. The humor factor as an Aggie living in Austin would be great.

If the Rebel Bears beat the Horns, it would take a court order for me not to log onto the Meltdown on Tuesday.

More threads like these will have 28 pages full of garbage while the threads actually discussing SEC football will have 2 or 3.

Why? Well you know the ladies love to talk about the color of the uniforms, the mascots, who's mad, who's Aubessed, who's getting arrested, who got a tattoo, what car this player is driving, who reads bleacher report, and quotes from old coaches.

I was reading your certainties, and bought into all of your top 4...then you blew your credibility with #5. You guys still don't get the fact that you can't beat the big boys without a strong defense....you still don't get the fact that you had that explosive offense last year...and it was virtually useless against Bama and LSU. Hell, that was WITH Petrino. You guys don't get it yet again, but you will.

I guess you missed it then because the OP is full of SEC football talk. Thanks for your comment though.

Yes, Yes. Another one line post with an emoticon. You are on your way to being a great SEC rant poster.

Are you saying you never have used an emoticon in your posting here? You seem stuck on that as if it makes you superior or something. Ban bet says you have used an emoticon in a post of yours. You accept?

Five SEC Certainties for 2012

Do you know what "certainties" means, OP?

1. Bray throws 12+ interceptions this season ..maybe but hardly a certainty I'd put in my top 5

2. Ole Miss starts 3-1. Ole Miss finishes 3-9...winless in SEC again. Probably...but don't they play UK? If so, I wouldn't call it a certainty either
Image Link

3. Mizzou gains less than 150 yards on Alabama
-maybe...ok, probably
Image Link

4. Auburn starts season 1-4, only win coming over ULM. Possible but highly unlikely Auburn loses to ALL of Mississippi State, Clemson and Arky. I think Auburn beats both Clemson and Mississippi State...I'd lean Arky at this point but Arky has almost all of the ingredients for an implosion...will know more in a few weeks on that one

5. Arkansas quells the Tide and breaks the 5 game skid. Oh God no. Certainties? For God's sake man.

My 5 certainties:

1. Arkansas won't win more than 9 games...including the bowl game.

2. Tennessee will have 2,000 yards receiving between their top 2 receivers

3. Alabama is going to pound the f*** out of the rock (they'll have 2,500+ yards rushing)

4. Auburn will be the most improved team in the West

5. Arky fans annual off-season fap fest will be 100% over by week 3...for good. At the beginning of baseball season, David Letterman said this about the Mets: "Well, the Mets opened the season today....better luck next year, Mets". That's how I feel about Arky...you guys kick it into full throttle every off season without fail...no, the fail comes in the actual football season where you are reassured that at best, you will be fighting for 3rd place in the West...and more often than not, 4th.

Dude of course I have used emoticon. What I do not like seeing and you shouldn't either is very good debates among SEC football fans getting hijacked. The thread goes from a good debate among Alabama, LSU, Auburn, or whoever fans about the upcoming season and then you get someone that throws in an insult or a picture of something not related.

Then some other guy comments on the picture or the insult and there you have it. A full blown discussion who's paying who, who's driving what, and who got a tattoo of this.

I'm all for fun talk in a thread but when it happens in just about every good football thread then it gets annoying.
