1. Talent level is undeniable. Sure not everyone lives up expectations, but the players are there.
2. Members are treated fairly and equally. Texas will put this to the test, but I’m not mad at more local SEC exposure here in Dallas.
3. Fans are resilient to trash talk and don’t go around assaulting people and property when they lose. Texas may put this to the test also w/ the horns down fits.
4. The conference has done their best to expand influence while keeping congruence. Sure, Mizzou is a long way from SC, but it’s not California. This is a really big deal for 98% of student athletes.
5. SEC does pull together. I was at the B12CG hoping Texas would lose and make room for more SEC teams. Still, it’s harder to pull for Bama when they don’t deserve to be there.

Harvey Updyke, the Krystal teabagger, Ho over the top just to name a few.

Good post OP. I look at it kind of like siblings. We all pick on each other, but if some outsider comes in and attacks one of us they face all of us.

I was referring to visiting fans. I’ll look into your takes but nothing can be as bad as getting your whole town smashed up every time you beat Nebraska.

It's impressive you only mentioned Texas in 3 of the 5.

Ummmmmmm… how long have you been here? Have you not seen the domestic and animal violence statistics when Bama loses?

It's such a rare occurrence that it's statistically irrelevant

But when it happens you can hear the screams and howls all the way in Columbus, MS.

What they do at home is their own business as long as they aren’t bringing it to other stadiums.
