If he/Sexton demands another raise after this year it wouldn’t surprise me to see the school tell him to pound sand.

This is what makes it different. He's not coming off a big year and he just got a new deal. So now he wants another new deal and has a lot less leverage since he sucked this year. This points to it being real and not another ploy to get more money.

What do I know, but it seems he really wants to leave FSU right now. He did this last year got a new contract. He is 5-6 right now. FSU may not even put much resistance if he wants out.

You must not know the ignorance of FSU fans. They believe that FSU is THE premier job in college football. Other openings do not matter because in their minds, no other job is nearly as prestigious as Florida State.

Just because Alleva is incompetent.. doesn't mean every other AD is also.

This is very true.

But TAM football is a joke and incompetent. So what's the difference.

I sure wouldn't. Fool me once, shame one you. Fool me twice...well know the rest.

After the way Jimbo fell flat on his face this season, I would be happy to have A&M take him off my hands.

Welp, the Aggie Board of Regents just announced a special meeting for Thursday.

Agenda: "Discussion of legal and personnel issues relating to football program, including issues relating to appointment of new head coach"

You think FSU will give jimbo a raise after this season?

Didn't Fisher and his staff just get a raise?

Yes. They worked FSU for a raise and contract extension when LSU tried to hire him. He completely bombed this season, and now he and Sexton will try to milk even more out of FSU.

So with the firing of Sumlin, A&M will have to pay his buyout of 10 million and if they land Jimbo they will have to pay his buyout of around 7 million. Are these numbers correct?

If so, they will then pay Jimbo around 7.5 million per for 7-10 years? That is a ridiculous amount of money for one person.

Especially for a coach that just demonstrated how he could request a salary increase and contract extension, then immediately proceed to run a top 5 program into the ground in less than a year.

I sincerely hope A&M hires him and he keeps Chief on board. Two overrated former LSU coordinators getting slapped by big bro every season would bee too much.

I don’t know if FSU can match an offer that aTm might throw at him. Jimbo isn’t worth $7 million to me, but aTm might be desperate enough to offer that kind of money.
