Very well may be. What happened to the last coach that said, "I'm here to do what hasn't been done. I'm here to win a SEC championship"?

That's A&Ms dumbass fault for overpaying for him. The last two Florida coaches were highly paid. Where did that get them?

Jimbo realized he couldn't compete with Clemson in the ACC so he turned tail and quit on FSU. Run Jimbo Run!

He's a shitty human being, but he's a somewhat decent coach. He'll get Texas A&M to 8 or 9 wins a season.

They will pretty regularly out pace the Mississippis and will be in a bare knuckle brawl with Arkansas every season for 4th place.....

This has sounded more and more desperate and pathetic each time I’ve heard it over the last several days.

Guaranteeing all that money was a bad move. He literally has nothing to lose if he tanks. I understand he doesn't go without it but if it doesn't work out that's a bad look.

In the future, which university do you think will come to coaches’ minds when they consider commitment and earnings?

(Hint: Most guys in that fraternity appreciate stability)

Uh, his career?

I bet he wants to be in coaching longer than ten years.

You think it would be the end of the line for Jimbo Fisher if he doesn't do what practically every coach hasnt done? Someone will give him a shot.

Just getting coverage on how much he's getting paid isn't exactly a good thing. If he fails it could be seen as an opportunity to get more for less. If he brings a title it's a big dick power move. I just don't see why some are ignoring aspects of that.

Fisher was the best choice we had available at the time. There's just so much turnover, that it's hard a fit. I think he'll do fine, but he certainly wasn't the home run hire I was hoping for. To be fair, I don't know who that coach is at this point.
