Very well may be. What happened to the last coach that said, "I'm here to do what hasn't been done. I'm here to win a SEC championship"?

It should..our Big10 poached coach runs an offense from the current century

I honestly hope it does work out. I really like the direction MOST of the coaching changes are shaping up. It's time to bring top notch coaching talent back to the SEC. It's so much more fun when the majority of teams have at least a shot at knocking off any other team on any given Saturday.

This same thing was said of Bert. Hope it works out better for y'all.

They haven't been able to afford completing the 150 mile stretch of I-49 between Lafayette and New Orleans in the twenty plus years since the plan was put in place.

So LSU has a fringe element of the fanbase? What school doesn't?

Oh, absolutely! But not too many schools have so many "fringe" fans that they would have run off a coach with a 114-34 record after only going 2-2 in the first four games of his final season. I believe most fans, at other schools, would have fought to at least let the man finish the season. I just believe that COULD definitely be something any coach may factor in when considering if he wants to go to a particular program.

and that has nothing to do with fans.

I have lived in, pretty much, every region of Louisiana over a 20+ year period and I can 100% confirm that some of the issue is, at least in part, some members of the fan base.

Meaning Brandon was thrown to the wolves against Alabama and it screwed him up.

There may be some truth to that but, IMO, Brandon and Austin have both shown that they don't have near as much mental toughness as they do physically. Perhaps (hopefully) Cole will have more upstairs than the Allen bros.
Mid 40's. Old enough to remember much better days as a Hog fan.
Now we just need a good, youngish coach with some sense and fire in his belly to utilize it.

I'm not arguing against this because I honestly don't know. Can you name some UofA commits that were given tickets, in previous years, by A&M?

If true, at least one Hog (soon to be former) still has some fight in them.

In the last five years, Arkansas has fallen behind Vanderbilt in winning percentage. The only SEC team the Hogs are ahead of is Kentucky.

I knew things were pretty bad but hadn't really thought about it from this angle. This is sad.

In his defense, he was only HC AT USC for eight games and he did have a winning record.
