First SEC "targeting" ejection just happened

A&M corner back was just ejected.

He did not launch, he never left his feet.

He did not lead with his helmet...he hit him with his shoulder and his helmet never even made contact with the WR.

He did not hit the WR in the head....he made contact squarely with the WRs chest/shoulder.

Now Everett is suspended of the first half of next game.

What a terrible rule.

It was a crappy call. He deserved the flag for hitting receiver late but not the ejection. This rule is scary

The rest of what you say is correct. It was nothing more than a late hit on a defenseless receiver. No targeting IMO. Bullshite rule.

They seem to be a little bit stricter in regards to a defenseless receiver, not sure what the exact rule is.
