While I agree with this, there are certain players who go beyond that and become super stars in the systems because they are just thta much better than everyone else.

Will Anderson
Dallas Turner
All fit this description. I mean both teams had players that did well in the systems they played in, but those absolutely do shine brighter because they are extra special players, imo.

I do agree that Anderson will go before Carter...however Deeprig's point is well taken that if a team needs a DT more than a LB, Carter could be taken first. I personally would take Anderson as i think he is a generational talent....but I also think Carter is special, too.
All that said, and more to your point, Georgia LBs won't get huge sack numbers because we rotate our LB's liberally. It keeps them fresh later in the games and give experience to the younger players.
Again, I am huge Will Anderson fan, though, and think he should be taken ahead of Carter all things being equal. Both are exceptional talents.

Yea this sort of thread is silly but typical of this board. There is no reason to create a player vs player debate here. They are both absolutely elite players at their positions, 2 of the best in the last 5-10 years at them, respectively.

I guess they can be interesting and entertaining in a limited way. These threads remind me of the Guice vs. Chubb threads and Fournette vs. Henry threads. More entertaining the watch the hoops some fans jump through to push their favorite players. Definitely off season fodder.
