• Will Anderson – 55 percent

• Jalen Carter – 40 percent

• Some Other Brotha – 5 percent

...Jalen Carter is the most dominant and purttiest looking Georgia defensive lineman that I've ever seen. The man played 300 snaps last year and had 37 tackles, 8.5 TFLs and 3 sacks as a defensive tackle

With the first pick in the draft, the Atlanta Falcons select Jalen Carter.

If Will Anderson isn't the first player taken in the draft someone needs to lose his job.

Yeah, only way I don't see him as the first defensive player from the SEC off the board would be some freak injury. A better thread topic would be who the 2nd defensive player taken would be

I heard many people say( who knows if they know what they are talking about) that Anderson would have been the number 1 pick in this past draft.

That's stupidly low odds, it should be 99%

With the 1% being he gets catastrophically injured.

no one is even close to him.

Jalen Carter 100%, dline is more valuable and harder to find dominance of his proportion. He was our best dlineman last year as well. Just overshadowed by JD.

The most valuable position on defense is the guy rushing the QB from the edge. This is why on average they are paid higher than interior DLinemen. One of the only exceptions to this is Aaron Donald who is freakish enough to rack up sacks from the inside on a consistent basis himself.

But he's also a smaller guy (Donald), not a 310+ pound NT.

Jalen Carter at this point looks like a very good starter in the NFL. Potential Pro Bowler. Will Anderson literally looks like Lawrence Taylor (not really bc no one is LT) but he’s as dominant as a player as I’ve seen in college football in a long time. He has more sacks that Jadaveon Clowney did in only 2 seasons lol. I’d be shocked if he isn’t the 1st defensive player taken.

Agree Anderson should be first.

Cam Smith 2nd though.

My guess is Will Anderson.

From a purely biased perspective however, I wouldn’t completely count out Ojulari. He is a very athletic edge rusher who could have a big year and will perform well at the combine.

The Falcons don't draft UGA players (usually).

As the #1 overall pick?

He's a very nice pass rusher, but he only had 4.5 non-sack TFLs last year (11.5 total).

Anderson had 16.0 non-sack TFLs last year (33.5 total).

BJ should be a first round pick, but unless he has a Derrick Thomas like season ain’t no way he’s going #1 in front of Anderson.
