Big kid, strong arm. Definitely could develop into a solid starter down the road.

I’m a few years older, but I went to Jamie Howard’s high school in Lafayette, Saint Thomas More

Dang can't hurt to give Nix some comp and/or backup.

Agreed, I am all for it and not impressed with the things Bo is weak on. I believe Bo has talent, but some of the technical things are in sore need of help.

I am sure Finley has some shortcomings too, but having a talented athletic QB in the competition could only be a good thing.

The kid is coming in thinking that he can take down Bo. What happens if he doesn’t start? Does he transfer again?

Very cool. That was his school. My buddy was Brian Leonard, but he had a couple of older brothers, Jimmy and Justin. Brian graduated in 92 and they were a few years ahead of him.

Poor accuracy and slow decision making
Thinks he’s better than he really is.

I graduated in 1987. The name does not sound familiar.

TJ was always something of a project who wasn't meant to play his freshman year. Has all the physical traits you want but needed some college coaching to work on footwork and mechanics and such.

I'm not sure he beats out Bo this year But he made some great throws in some of his starts this year where you can see the upside

In his defense, his offensive coaching staff was worse than Gus Malzahn

Mmmm no it wasn't. It was much better. Our starting QB was injured so true freshman had to man up and lead, meanwhile we had 0 defense so there was nothing the offense could really do to win.

I saw snippets of Auburn's A-day and the offense resembled the Chip Linsey scheme from a few yrs ago. But that was just a scrimmage, who knows what Bobo/Harsin will install this summer?

Actually, no clue how he was at Auburn because of Malzahn's meddling. I ran across Lindsey back when he was coaching over here at Lassiter.

Finley is a good kid with a rocket launcher on his shoulder.

But he is an absolute statue with ZERO mobility and has very little touch on his passes. 100 mph pass or nothing at all. Maybe your QB coaching will do better than ours and your OL is much better than ours.

I wish him well though. He really is a good kid. Works hard in the classroom and on the field.

My opinion is LSU had a terrible coaching staff.

Well, he was seen in higher regard by that "terrible" staff than the new staff, which I think is very strong. So the smarter coaches had him further down the depth chart.

athletic QB

He has a big arm for sure but anyone who thinks he’s mobile, didn’t watch him play last year.
