Why would USC hire the worst coach in all of football?

Think this is going to get overshadowed by the Sumlin to the Trojans. While unlikely it is a possibility. This is going to pick up steam over the next few weeks.

He's not going anywhere because A&M is rich and everyone else is poor. Read the news.

Sumlin was USC's (Trojans) primary target last time. He turned them down. The only threat of Sumlin leaving is to the NFL.

I just don't understand why you idiots still watch/listen to what finebaum says.

That won't stop the Trojans from trying again

It is EPN. They are going to create stories for the next month to talk about stories they themselves make up. They even admitted they do it.

More Sumlin extortion pending. A&M's ROI gets even worse.

I don't doubt they will try. But if he was ever going to leave for another college job, he would have split the first time USC came a-courtin'. If he didn't jump then, he's not going to now.

so Sumlin is going to make a move and right after his school just spent half a billion on football facility upgrades and he received a big raise? However, interestingly enough, SUmlin;s buyout is only 5 million if he leaves before the end of 2016

Sumlin was not USCs primary target last time. It's not like USC called and Sumlin said thanks but not interested at all. There was some mutual interest and a brief discussion did take place.
Sumlin got a new deal with us and Pat Haden went with his FIRST choice all along... Sark. I still don't think Sumlin is in their top 3 as far as a wish list goes. But, he is up high enough for it to be a concern.

I get the stories that are out now and more that will come out. As usual, these stories are fed in from a powerful booster(s) that want Sumlin.. There will be others that want Gruden or Kyle Whittingham and those stories will emerge also. These boosters feed stories in to try to force something. This is standard protocol for this type of stuff nowadays. This is no different than the Saban/texass stories. A few boosters tried to force the issue and start a fire.
I stand by my assertion that Sumlin is not first or second choice. Politics and boosters are in play so that is why I say Sumlin is high enough on the list for it to be a concern.
My point is that Sumlin to the Trojans cannot be dismissed as "not possible", because is is definitely possible. I still say it is unlikely. For now anyway....

Plus, he has massive flexibility within the Aggie program. He wouldn't have much of that at all @ USCw.
Sumlin has a good thing going in CS IMO. He'd be whoring himself out if he left.
