He's a solid interviewer, and can talk CFB well, but I absolutely despise his show and the characters he hired to play the part (yes, most of the regular callers are likely told to act a certain way)
Yeah, ive listened to him a couple of times--and he seems like an intelligent guy. Stuff like this just makes me scratch my head. Guess he's just going for the Bayless effect

I'm sure Manziel won't AS good because people are ready for him and his team lost some important pieces on offense, but its not like this kid is getting caught with guns and drugs.
What shocks me more about that statement is the fact that he says he won't "ever be what he was". I can't see a large enough drop of for people to say "he wasn't even close to what he was". He should still produce really well and have a top 3 QB rating in the SEC.

I also like how the trendy think going is saying he'll have a bad year.
It's not a matter of "trendy." We don't do "trendy" around here. We do motivated baiting and ranting, but it has nothing to do with "trendy."
Besides, as much as I despise Finebaum, he may be right this time. Every squirrel finds a nut eventually.
Watching to see how JFF does this year is going to be interesting none-the-less. I'm not pulling for him or against him - I'm just looking forward to watching, as the season progresses, to see what happens.

I really don't care much. I was just taken aback. He sounds like a fricking moron. Does he know he sounds like a fricking moron??

Yet you got on a website to talk about your frustration and generate a discussion about the guy which in turn may or may not pull more ppl to him.
It's how he makes a living and how he made a killing in Bham all those years.

Tough to top last year as well,...
Indeed.
I would expect him to have more passing yards, fewer running yards. That's fine, but it was his runs that electrified college football.

He is not dumb , at a place like A&M ( anywhere , but especially A&M ) you can cause team disunity if treated differently than the others.
Dosen't take classes on campus :check , lowrates his scholl : check , etc etc , I belive TAMU loses 3 to 5 games this year , TAMU is all about a milatary type of oneness.

Class of '79 here and this is bullshite. I came around and actually liked civilians in my senior year after their response to the Gay Student Service Organization's "blue jean day". Before that I had no use for them, and they're still a bunch of commies. But some are acceptable commies.
I never have liked Air Force pukes. Still don't. AF pukes: deal with it.
And I'd really like to like Johnny Manziel, but it's just impossible. That said, this latest nonsense has been taken way out of context (admittedly mostly his fault). He got a parking ticket. Oh My God, the humanity. For me his followup post about walking in his shoes was far worse, but whatever. He's getting offseason training from Whitfield again (as is your own Jack Del Rio's kid). He'll be fine on the football field. I just wish he'd shut up.

Sucks Bamas dick and pisses off the rest of the conference.
Professional dick sucker, yes.
I do not think most of the rest of the conference (outside of bama fans) really pay attention to him. I know I have not listened to a single show by him in 3 years and have probably listened to about 3 hours of finebaum in total in the past 12 years (outside of a few times I have listened to Pat Dye on his show).

The few times I've heard him I feel the same way about him as I do... (I couldn't remember his name and Googled "obnoxious radio hosts" and there he was...) Howard Stern. How are those guys still alive? I'm not recommending murder, but sheesh both those guys are annoying.

Yes , hes a Bama man even though he broke the early 80s Bobby Lee Hurt ( basketball ) and the Antonio Langham 1993 , stories.
TENNESSEE GRAD.
Paul was a big time nut rider of Pat Dye , Steve Spurrior and Tommy Tubberville.
Now he rides Sabans nuts.

I can honestly say that I don't miss his show one bit.
he did a good job interviewing his guests and I liked the guests he had.
but the rest of that shite gets old. QUICKLY.
