Really getting into the details of problem and possibly huge negative impact on LSU.

Okay, Finebaum says they will look into matter later, says the caller was on front lines on the situation. Apparently the coach in question was Juluke (sp?) and the area hs coaches upset with way he was let go at LSU. Juluke used to coach in the N.O. area and apparently well liked by peers.

A day late with this Fake News. The truth has been well documented here, on several sites. Finebaum is either too lazy to research it or is just stirring up shite like he always does. As one h.school coach put it: we are taking bout 10 minutes to address a few coaches' concerns. The other 2 hours of the meeting are what is important. This is blown up way out of proportion. We have kids who want to play at LSU. Why would we try & hold them back?"

I saw that where two N.O. coaches said they will not boycott, but the caller made it sound ominous. I don't know, but if not really big news Finebaum must be milking it for all it's worth.

Yeah, the NOLA coaches put an end to this yesterday. There's no ban. One of Juluke's boys got upset and caused the ruckus, but almost all of the coaches did not entertain the idea.

You may be right, but so far I can only find two of the N.O. coaches who stated will not support boycott.

I know, I know, but his show is like a train wreck, you hear ten seconds of it and something makes you keep listening despite the pathetic callers who usually populate his program.

Well the boycott was only going to be by 5 schools. So at worst, 3 schools in the entire country will boycott LSU. How will LSU ever field a team?

Huge impact at the high school level for LSU. The flood gates are already open for schools raiding Louisiana. If there is a boycott of any type in Louisiana this will cripple LSU, almost like sanctions would.
The perception is that Orgeron was a last minute temporary band-aid after the 2nd and 3rd choices turned them down and they just looked around and shoved the nearest warm body to the podium.
Nobody wants to sign with a temp, particularly one that's pissed them off.

Not good.

Didn't St Augustine issue a statement saying that their coaches weren't going to the meeting?

Eh. Believe it when I see it. I admire coaches for standing up for their own, and, by extension, for players who might be recruited under false pretenses (i.e. the recruiter would still be there when the program knows he won't.) But they also have to look out for their kids' best interests in other ways, and that includes helping them get into the primary home-state football program. It would be unconscionable to run deliberate interference preventing LSU from getting access to kids who might be dreaming of attending LSU. They're football coaches, not life coaches.
