Oh was Dawkins sitting on the court stand in that documentary?

Don’t forget about him doing his civil duty to prevent such cheating. Bruce is the type of upstanding gentleman every program should hope to have.

Yeah, I'm totally talking about illegal BBQ's, not the money Bruce Pearl pays to sign blue chip recruits.

Pearl lied to the NCAA and was fired by UT. Got a show cause penalty. Auburn hired him, makes sense.

It’s pretty blatant when played live. The NCAA had to do something about those two or just fold up and get rid of college sports that they so dearly try to hold on to
where do you idiots come up with these black and white scenarios?
yes, we'll be getting rid of college sports if LSU doesn't terminate Will Wade.

I’m going to need a documentary before I believe such atrocities

exactly my point. it was pretty obvious I am not referring to Bruce Pearl lying about a BBQ. Apparently there are real auburn fans who actually believe Bruce Peal doesn't play the same game every top coach plays.

Except before you guys said you needed the tapes.... well... what is it?

Keep up the dream. ATM LSU is NEAR untouchable. Thanksgiving would be very quiet if they did.

They did. The biggest problem with this documentary was that it was clearly biased towards the "make college athletics pro leagues", and they didn't make much attempt to explore the bigger story that was in front of them.
They wanted to say "frick the NCAA", but what they completely missed was that the NCAA agrees with Dawkins. He just fricked up and exposed the schemes to the world, so he had to be "offed" - so to speak - to cover up the whole system. The FBI incompetence is irrelevant. They know the bribery and corruption exists, they just couldn't reel it in.
College sports (and particularly college basketball) gets viewership because the NBA and NFL are filled with bullshite like contract drama and payment drama that turn off casual viewers that just want to root for local teams and hometown heroes. So what the NCAA has done with basketball is cover up all of that stuff to the point where fans don't believe it exists.
Also, that statement at the end about "imagine what football players get" is dumb. We know what football players get because the NCAA has no problems bringing the hammer down in that sport.

You do realize the FBI was not investigating recruiting violations, right? NCAA violations are not federal crimes.

No NCAA witnesses are on the court stand unless the NCAA is getting sued. Thanks for basically telling me you are an idiot that knows nothing about law or college sports.

FBI should neva have been involved...

Yes, I realize that. Seems like you misunderstood something I said?
The FBI was trying to expose bribery scandals - actually the opposite of traditional recruiting violations.

What will wade and Sean Miller we’re doing on tape is basically breaking the fundamental rule of college athletics. Like it or not. You can’t just have that on tv and not do something about it.
You can’t have it both ways people. You either pay the players or,you don’t. If you are saying you are paying the players and it’s against the rules than they should be punished. Period.
Or else have colleges get out of the sports business. I really don’t want that. Either do you. LSU and Arizona need to take their medicine

Then how did they screw up? They got a ton of convictions, not on all counts, but on most.

Only if all others take theirs. Won't be many big boys left.
