You can only be let down if you let yourself get up.

I highly suggest not getting up.

We were up 16 at halftime, but then we played a gawd awful 2nd half and you guys scored 41 in the 2nd half. Not to mention you shot FIFTY free throws.

We'll need to play a very solid game to beat you guys. Probably won't.

Yep a lot of SEC opponents who play USC say afterwards they played awful offensively.....no one ever wants to give credit where credit is due...

Alabama shot 37% in the 2nd half not including OT, and 43% overall after halftime. That's not bad at all, and is usually around what our defense allows. Hell, that's actually better than your team's season average, so I have no idea what the frick you're on about. Bama shot 41% in the 1st half too, so essentially their shooting stayed even-steven level throughout the game. But USC has shot 42% on the season, and 40% in SEC play.

That's what Bama's defense allowed too on average this season, so no, the 10% FG percentage in the 1st half for USC is the red flag here, nothing Bama did (or did not do) offensively in the last game. It was the poorest-shooting half of basketball USC had this season, and I seriously doubt lightning strikes twice in the same place. We'll see....

Could the inverse not be true? Alabama is a Top 15 defense per KenPom.

We're really good defensively. Especially against teams that can't spread the floor and make 3's.

The biggest difference was USC shot 55 free throws. FIFTY. FIVE. If you do that again, you will win by 20.

Has it occurred to you that USCe may not be as good offensively as the average team Bama has played? Or, that Bama might match up and have a particularly good plan for USCe? Or, can we just plug and play stats, and that gives us a totally accurate picture?

Wow us some more with your knowledge and numbers.

Hope and pray that Avery doesn't decide to put Lawson Schaffer into the game

I don't think height is his biggest problem. There are plenty of 5'11" PGs at this level.

Although I don't really see how Avery Johnson Jr. is athletic enough to play in the SEC but Schaffer isn't. At least Schaffer can shoot

Oh shite

Is it possible for both teams to lose?

I dunno, but considering the offensive and defensive rankings for both teams, we might not have 80 points combined.

You just say that because he's white. He might be the quickest guy, and best ball handler on the team (which, admittedly is no great feat). He's just very small. Realistically, he doesn't sniff 5'11". I'd be surprised if he's over 5'8".
