He always could have done the more classy thing and slam his helmet into the ground.

Honestly Carolina hasn't played that well for the last couple weeks. If they can't flip the switch again I wouldn't be surprised if it was one and done for them.

I cannot blame him for his postgame actions, although I did not watch the game and unsure if he acted badly or not. The Panthers had a good run going and I am sure he, along with the rest of that team, had thoughts of going all the way undefeated. Anyone who criticizes him for postgame today has never been in the position he was or his team was in.

I'm more interested in finding out why Auburn fans are suddenly "die-hard" Carolina Panthers fans? It appears to me that this happened overnight. Just from a pure mileage standpoint:

quote:

Auburn is 100 miles from Atlanta (Falcons)
Auburn is 300 miles from Nashville (Titans)
Auburn is 348 miles from Jacksonville (Jaguars)
Auburn is 359 miles from Charlotte (Panthers)
Auburn is 363 miles from New Orleans (Saints)

Weird considering Cam Newton was only at Auburn for one season as well. Did he even enroll in Spring semester classes?

Let adversity hit Cam and his true colors are shown! I guarantee after Brees lost his first game after being 13-0 he didn't run straight into the locker room, fact! That is the difference between a true professional and a wanna be like Cam fricking Newton!!

I believe he recently finished his degree. He was on campus taking classes every off season. Not sure what his major is. General studies probably.

I read post on here a lot from haters of cam but the guy rustles jimmies sooooo bad that of course the school he won a natty at and then went back and earned a degree and still visits often is going to love him. Along with other people who either didn't have a dog in the fight or are just general fans from other aspects

It's literally all that they have right now. It's sad, but very Auburn.

Cam is a top flight QB that has flat out carried every team he's been on on his back.

So what if he throws a towel over his head in defeat, you show me someone that doesn't mind losing and I'll show you a loser.

You got that part right, nothing but fluff for PR.

Even if that were true does that make it any less special to the kids?

One day maybe bama will produce an athlete and man the caliber of Cam Newton, not likely but I guess it's possible.
