Had they been at the other side of the bracket, championship game would have been a very good possibility. No shame in the way they got booted (unlike gumps and L1U).

Oh well, that’s just how the tournament goes.

Here are the stats for the game. Baylor dominated the Zags in the paint.

Zags can't rebound

Arkansas wasnt as good as either of the teams tonight. Baylor would have sloughtered arkansas if they would have played them tonight. Baylor has an extra gear that no other teams had this year...they were the best team for sure no doubt about it.

No they wouldn't. If that was the case then Baylor would have won an easy victory from start to finish by double digits. Arkansas out rebounded and scored more points in the paint than Baylor. Gonzaga was out rebounded 38-22.

What won Baylor the game was getting hot at the three point at 53 percent, won the turnover margin, had a few more steals and JD Notae fouling out with 13 minutes to play.

We lost but Baylor had to play all out to get the victory.

Losing teams like Arkansas will find any way to frick up how to win a game. That's why their renowned bball squad hadn't been beyond sweet 16 from the turn of the century til now...

Baylor was actually worse statistically tonight (especially in shooting %) than they were vs. Arkansas, yet Arkansas actually had a very legitimate shot to win their game unlike Gonzaga, who was only able to get the game within single digits once (9 points with 17:00 left) after the 15:00 mark in the 1st half when it was 13-4 Baylor.

On the other hand, Arkansas was within 4 with less than 10:00 left in the game.

We had a shot to win against Baylor because our inside game was holding up really well.

Baylor destroyed both Houston and Gonzaga in the paint. If you can't rebound then you better do something else quick or it will be a long game.

Hogs outrebounded Baylor 34-29 and had a ton of points in the paint. I'm fact, Arkansas actually outscored Baylor for the final 36 minutes of that game.

Bears, though, like tonight, came out on fire from 3 while Arkansas couldn't hit the side of the barn in that game and missed at least 6 easy layups.

Against Arkansas, Baylor shot fricking 53% from 3 while Hogs hit a dogshit 27%. Their FG% in the end was actually identical, which means Arkansas dominated them in the paint.

When Notae fouled out, the game ended. Sucks. In hindsight, Arkansas was every bit a Final Four team.

When Notae fouled out, our ability to cut into the lead was gone. But that is the way it goes but at least we didn't roll over like the bitches Houston and Gonzaga.

This is correct. To argue differently is homerism at its best.
