Imagine talking shite to the defending national champions when you’ve never won a single one, and then you can’t even win your home regional as the #3 overall seed.

On a positive note, Ole Miss only ever lost their home regional as the #4 national seed, so at least you’ve outdone them in that regard.

I just don’t care that much. We do this so often that it’s hard to take seriously.

Why? If you do that then the negative reactions from all over the nation would be excruciating.

Who would you replace him with? Just because he can't win it doesn't mean he needs to move on. Let him succeed and fail on his own terms.

Have we not learned from firings such as Ken Hatfield? Look at how that turned out.

He wasn't but Frank ran him off.

Still no need to fire or run off good coaches because the grass isn't always greener on the otherside.

The fanbase was getting restless due to Hatfield’s flexbone offense and wanted to see more of a passing game. So Frank tried to get him to adjust and Hatfield said screw it and went to Clemson who eventually fired him.

Frank was just doing his job and Hatfield wasn’t changing. Hiring Crow when he left was a huge mistake though.

I don't blame him, that is a quite a bit of meddling from Frank in the affairs of a coach who still holds the highest winning percentage of all Arkansas football head coaches and won the last conference title.

If something like that happened to DVH then he would say screw it and leave. The odds of hiring someone that is on his level is slim to none but the odds of hiring a baseball version of Jack Crowe is very high.

A weak SWC to get that winning percentage in. He couldn’t compete on the next level and fans were tired of it. It was cool winning 8 or 9 games a year but knowing that was the ceiling was disheartening. I liked ken but if he had been coaching in the internet era like Nutt he’d have gotten railroaded as well.

Weak or not he won games and Frank listened to the fans which was a big mistake instead of backing him up.

That led to Crowe and the freaking Citadel loss.

It would have been better to stick with the ceiling of winning 8 or 9 games than take a big risk of trying to pressure a coach into ridiculous expectations, the coach leave for another job and replace said coach with a shitty coach.

That is what happened and it became a cycle.

As the old saying goes if you listen to the fans then you end up sitting with them.
