Try right now

This would be a cool building:

...if it wasn't just stuck on the backside of this beautiful building:

I don't even understand how those two concepts go together, but I am sure your snooty architects will just tell us "we just don't understand."

what a waste. You guys pump so much cash into new facilities, and it feels like every project is designed after a futuristic sci fi movie.

I've been told by several students from the Arch school that it's revolutionary and I just don't "get it". They think it's the best thing since the Taj Mahal

I'm really surprised your big donors haven't been outraged. if I were writing the checks, I wouldn't want half the designs on that campus for the price. Like I said, right now it looks fine and will attract top students, but 10 years from now visiting students are going to be turned off compared to other SEC campuses

LSU really butchered our new business school, but at least have some resemblance of the rest of our campus

As soon as I saw this pic of the student union, all I could think of is those crazy religious people that stand in free speech alley and yell at girls for showing their legs and tell them they are going to hell.

looks like a cookie cutter stadium with no originality

It will literally be the most unsymmetrical stadium in the country and the only one with the four exterior access towers.

You could make an argument it will be one of if not the most unique looking stadium in the country, up there with LSU, Penn State, Oregon and Ohio State.

I've read the same thing. God only knows how many "burn it down" comment cards I've put in the "How To Improve Middleton" box as you're leaving the 1st floor computer labs.

Well I would say a decent amount of people were outspoken about it. That old building (Vol Walker Hall) is the home of the architecture school and has been the library and (maybe) the union a long time ago. The addition was designed by a prominent alum of the department so anytime it's criticized the fact that one of our own designed it and it is the architecture building is the usual comeback.

Also the campus really doesn't have just one style. There are a few buildings built to the original master plan that are collegiate gothic style.

Old Main actually fell into disrepair and was closed for some of the 80's. I've read that some were actually considering tearing it down but it was restored.

We had those people circling our dorm when I was a freshman. They were praying for us sinners.

We pointed the speakers outside the window and hit them with some Shout At The Devil. \m/

The first time I saw them do it at LSU, I was with one of the most religious girls I have ever met. She went to church twice every Sunday and never said a curse word, but because she had on short Nike shorts they were screaming at her.

We do have Soviet architecture.

That was some serious cherry picking to make our campus appear beautiful.
