I may be bringing up a sore subject here. But do you know what's up with Dicky Lyons Jr? I remember him going down a few years back during the SC game of his senior year. Dunno if you any of you cats keep up with him.

Not UGA players, but I always liked the way Freddy Weygand and Trey Gainous (WR's @ AU in the 80's) played. IIRC, Gainous was a pretty good baseball player as well.

He's a household name, but he doesn't get enough credit compared to how good he was.

Quinn Grovey - He's a household name to Hog fans, but probably not to anyone else on this board. Loved the way he ran that flex-bone offense.

I know who he is. QB for you in the late 80s. I started college in Arkansas in 88 so I heard and read plenty aobut him.

My favorite Tiger that's not a household name would be Eric Andolsek (RIP).

Brooks Daniels - LB. Loved the way he attacked the ball carrier. He always got there in a bad mood.

Javier Arenas - CB, PR/KR - classic overachiever. Almost quit football before his JR year. Saban talked to him about potential, ability, education, etc and he stuck it out. Worked out for Bama and for Javy.

Marquis Maze - WR, KR/PR - great effort guy who plays with tons of heart. Very good kid. Has always treated my sons well and I've always pulled a little more for guys who have done that.

Barrett Jones - OL - great talent, great intellect, great team player. Has also treated my sons well.

But regular rules don't apply to you, Stuttgart. You've had the good fortune of being an Arky for a significant amount of time.

Grovey is one of the Good Guys in all of sports. Just a really decent person. I loved the way he played, and I really like the fact that was not a home-grown kid - came from Duncan, OK, but he claimed Arkansas as home.

This is tough. Lots of good memories...I'm going to say Karlos Dansby (LB), Frank Sanders (WR), Dameyune Craig (QB) or Courtney Taylor (WR).

David Nelson

I wished we had used him more when he was at UF. Now he's tearing things up with the Bills.

Has to be DJ Shockley. One of my favorite dawgs of all time. Then probably Thomas Brown and Odell Thurman

Here's several over the years. It's hard to pick one so I had to think back over the years.
The 3 in italics will always be special because they were playing when I made my first visit to Tiger Stadium in 1971. I was 9 years old.

John Garlington I met him later when I was in high school when he came to work out with our basketball team during practice.)
Bert Jones
Tommy Casanova
Andy Hamilton

A.J. Duhe
Charles Alexander – running back
James Britt (watched him play in high school)
Dalton Hilliard
Todd Kinchen
Eddie Kennison
Tommy Banks
