Yeah, the guy has no shame in it at all, no way we take an apology serious from him. But glad Saban reached out.

SEC's gonna do what ever it feels it needs to. Aint nothin we say here gonna change that.
No point in get'n riled up over it.
It was a dumb play, Saban knows it. Two plays back to back Mizzou rubbed Fanning in the ground until Saban figured they beat on him enough and pulled him out. Didn't appritiate the little grin as he was comming off, but I'm sure when Saban gets done with him, that grin will be turned upside down to a frown.
I don't think that play is indicative of a Saban team. They can beat the crap out of you without the MMA moves.
Nuff said.

He should be suspended. No one cares about his forced apology, especially after he had the picture of the event on his twitter page.
Not a big punishment suspending a 3rd stringer... but sometimes (as I learned playing) you reflect on things differently when you're watching from the stands. Maybe he'll gain a new perspective if he doesn't get to suit up. I doubt it, but possible.

Bama fans have been totally classy about all this...including our injured player Eric Walters...we heard from a lot of true football fans from Bama and they showed tremendous class.
Saban and Pinkel are tight and I believe Saban...
As far as suspension...I'll leave that to Slive to figure out..to the guys that think it was a great tackle..if Hansborough was paralyzed as a result of a WWE move would you still think that way?

You don't see this shite in the NFL.
Rolando McClain did it 2 years ago to a Rams player. His teammates cheered him, one of them was an ex-Auburn player Quentin Groves.
McClain didn't get suspended by the NFL or anything.

Heres a video of Brian Dawkins doing it...then cheering

He won't be suspended unless the media makes more of a deal about it. Nor does he deserve punishment. It was a bad tackle, but was not a malicious hit. And a type of tackle they have not been spoken out against. If this was the nfl, it would be a small fine, no suspension.

Walter McFadden cheered him on.

Ive stated numerous times it was inexcusable and that he should have been ejected, or should be suspended. I am not defending the piledrive. But its over, no one was injured, he apoligized publically (and yes I said it was unprecedented in the SEC and I believe it is) Lets move on

it was wrong. any player who makes a dirty hit like that should apologize. it's pretty simple, really.

dont think Bama fans would take issue with it and most would agree that it was appropriate

Where the frick was all of this crying when Auburn did this to Greg McElroy in 2010? hell if it was a good tackle then why not now. He wasn't trying to break his neck and glad the you g man wasn't hurt but Lord the hypocrisy is unreal.

Did bell pick him up and toss him over his head?
Posted on 10/15/12 at 7:20 pm to NYCAuburn
He didn't have as good a form but yeah the result was similar except GM had a concussion and seems to me there were pics all over this place about. Difference is I don't remember crying about it.
