I remember him being good.

Not the best example. He had a consistent career. Had over 1000 yards his senior season. He did have the best game of his career against Auburn like he mentioned.

I feel like most of these "one hits" had their "one hit" against Arkansas

I can't count the number of times they introduce some backup at the beginning of the game and I think "OK we've got this" only for him to dominate the game

Demetrius Summers for South Carolina.

I remember thinking he was going to be a stud watching him play as a Freshman.

Whatever happened to that dude?

remember watching LSU v Auburn when he was playing and he went for 200+ in the first half.

Nah wasn't in the first half but he did run for about 230 in the game. One of the funnest games I've been to that we lost

I think that's what the OP is trying to imply/caution.

For what it's worth, I think Tua will be a great player. So, not necessarily about him per se but it did get me thinking about one hit wonders though. Hence the topic.

Isaiah Crowell...but he did well at Alabama State, got drafted by the Browns and has done relatively well, considering who he's playing for...

Yeah, ummmmm ... except he tweeted a depiction of a black guy wrapped in a U.S. flag slitting the throat of a white police officer so, frick him.

https://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2016/07/browns_isaiah_crowell_i_was_ve.html

quote:

"Last week was an emotional and difficult week as we saw extreme acts of violence against black men across our country as well as against police officers in Dallas,'' he wrote. "I posted an image to Instagram in the midst of that emotion that I shouldn't have and immediately removed it. It was an extremely poor decision and I apologize for that mistake and for offending people.

"My values and beliefs do not match that image. I am outraged and upset by the deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile along with so many others. I am also outraged and saddened by the attacks in Dallas and the deaths of the five honorable police officers (Lorne Ahrens, Michael Krol, Michael J. Smith, Brent Thompson and Patrick Zamarripa) who were providing protection while trying to keep peace.

We have to be better as a society, it's not about color, it's about what's right and wrong. I was very wrong in posting that image. Every single life matters, every death as a result of violence should be treated with equal outrage and penalty.''

In the illustration posted by Crowell, the officer is being stabbed in the neck by a person in a black jacket and hood, with his face covered. He has an ankh pendant around his neck, which was an ancient Egyptian character that represented the concept of eternal life. He's also wearing black gloves and an American flag backpack.

Blood is spurting out of the officer's neck and mouth, which is covered by the murderer's hand.

Crowell's caption read, "They give police all types of weapons and they continually choose to kill us....#Weak."

The post, which received 33 likes, was taken down after about a minute, but was screen-shotted and circulated on social media.

Yeah Collins had his issues to say the least. The little we saw of him playing was really something. Tremendous waysted talent.

How bout Jordan Jefferson? Had a great game against Georgia Tech in the 09 Peach Bowl as a freshman. Showed so much promise, but we all know how that turned out.

Best example of this for UGA is Cory Phillips. Walk-on QB. In 2000 Quincy Carter got hurt and he was named the starter against Kentucky to preserve David Greene's red-shirt. He had completed 2 passes in his career before that day.

He threw for 400 yds and 4 TDs to get the win.

Quincy Carter started again the following week. Phillips started a handful more times that season, but was nowhere near as good as that day.
