I'm not sure if they'll win the east, but I do see a better team. We were decimated last year, for sure.
I also don't see us being worse than 4th if our offense really does change. Our defense has been pretty good, it's just that bloody offense.

Put up a thread on the SEC help board or post in this thread and gatordmb will add you to the Gator board.

Georgia returns the talent to win the east but just like every season it will require some luck, health, etc to win one of the toughest conferences in the land. I still like our chances with a healthy Gurley and a healthy Malcolm Mitchell. Next season, looks to be more up in the air than any season I can remember. USC and Mizzou will be competitive for sure. Can't wait

Carolina only loses 4 seniors which made it the youngest team in the country this year. In addition to that they will lose Clowney, Quarles, Ellington, and Hampton. The four seniors are Shaw, Sutton, Legree and i cant remember the other. Thompson will likely start for shaw and i imagine that we will be ok at wr even losing ellington. Offense should be really good, we usually reload at db (even before sos) and i think our d line is deep but losing 3 starters will definitely hurt. Clowney didnt play at all this year though according to most of you so that shouldnt be a big loss. (LOL) I like our chances of finally getting back to ATL. I dont know if it matters but Spurrier has said that he thinks nexts years team will be better.

Not true. Josey gone.

Gaines is gone but Penton played solid at CB as a true freshman.
Solid is not the same as EJ Gaines. One does not simply replace EJ Gaines.

Links broke there bud. Also, I think we will still have a few growing pains next year but will definitely have a shot for the East.

My pick would be South Carolina right now. Thompson can sling it and that Roland kid looks real good at WR.

I cut and pasted it, double checked and double pasted, still an issue. Sloppy code. I can't help you.
For anyone wanting to view Gamecocks self assessment for 2014, click on the Gamecocks board and the topic is on the first page.

there's new qb's at usc, uga and who knows who florida will use so predictions are almost worthless. i would have to predict y'all will repeat because i've seen your qb and he seems damn good. but i just don't know who's graduating or leaving for the draft.
I don't follow the East that close either but based just on QB position Maty Mauk looks like the real deal so I guess I'd pick Mizzou to ATL.

Maybe. Maybe not. Not concerned about RB. Even if he goes, plenty more behind him. Personally I think it would be a mistake for him to enter the draft early. Too small and his injuries. But then again, I don't get paid the big bucks to evaluate whether a guy should get drafted or not.

I'm gonna bet that our secondary is better overall as a unit next year. No one player may be as good as EJ, but they won't be worse overall.

I think Tennessee makes a comeback next year but falls short to a two loss USCe

I think UF can compete if the offense is up to snuff. Not impressed with Thompson at USC and UGA has a new QB as well.Ours aren't great but he has played for 3 years. The SEC office nce again screws us in schedule compared to the other teams.
Mizzou should be the favorite.

Oh, and to me, your list looks solid. I think you might want to give your team a little more credit. Mizzou is the favorite IMO. But hey, predicting anything in sports is risky business.

Please provide your rationale for Tennessee being #2. I would really like to hear it.

I'll hold off til signing day.
If USC can land corners Wesley Green and DJ Smith then I expect the cornerback unit to look very similar to our linebacker unit this season- talented but very young so a ton of mistakes early on, but halfway through the season the light comes on and they drastically improve.
If not USC's defense will struggle mightily against the pass all season long.

Not bad predictions. UT is really a wildcard for 2014. We should have many in the incoming class who are ready to play from day one both regular recruits and some stud JUCOs. However, our schedule really works against us this year. We get a surprisingly upset prone Utah State as our 'cupcake' opening game and then two weeks later OU away. Once again we've caught schedules that are harder than they were back when we scheduled them.
We're def. a team that's hard to read and could go either way depending on how things work out. Although my feeling is we should be a lot better than this year -- the question is by how much.
