The title of the thread should actually be "Future Crow-Eaters of America", but that may be a little nit-picky.

Yes this is another very good column by GUILBEAU:-)
“Bear killed LSU … until the very end … then he died”
My thoughts:
But please beware:
The Crimson Virus…Is floating around the News media ink wells. Only suicide can free them now. fighting with a 2011 LSU tiger. One of the most fierce cats in all the world. Alabama winning ways just might come to a second place lost.
The News men are always following each other lead. Group mentality. because they are so guilty of the same sin. “Bandwagon fever”
There is no cure. After LSU beats Alabama. They are going to march like lemmings after Les Miles and your LSU tigers. You can read what thay write but please stay clear of those guys and girls.
Their not labeled, but you just need to know. From me to you. That the today’s News sports writers & Network TV reporters are ” Poison ” pay no attentions to them. And do not touch.

the LSU running back combo of Spencer Ware and Michael Ford will hold serve against the Bama 1-2 punch of Richardson and Eddie Lacy
I think it's time for LSU to take that respect that has been earned by everyone else outside the state of Alabama.
Bama fans on talk radio and message boards are delusional.
Most that I know are more level headed

What I like to remember is what the experts said in mass when the Saints played the Colts in the Superbowl. The colts would win. We remember how that turned out.

hate when people make comparisons like this. The running backs play against the opposing defense, not each other.

maybe, but not offensively.
total offense rankings
5 Oregon
13 WVU
25 Ark
98 PSU
LSU has clearly played better offensive teams. Bama may have a "better" D, but its a lot like arguing over who is the hottest model in the swimsuit issue.

Vinnie Verno picks Bama.
In the end, it’ll come down to whichever team controls the turnover margin. LSU is No. 2 in the nation behind Oklahoma State at a +1.88 per game, while Alabama is +0.75. Both teams are stingy with the ball, both teams are efficient, and both teams are physical. LSU is just a little bit better at all three
Turnovers will be the key and there really is no way to predict it.

LSU is a very fine football team, but nothing points to a failure this weekend for Nick Saban's program. In the most hyped game of the season, Alabama will leave no doubt. The pick: Alabama 31, LSU 3

Arkansas is probably the best of the four, followed closely by Oregon, then PSU and then WVU

shite. I'm not sure why we're even traveling to play the game. Might as well go ahead and forfeit.
Oh yeah, that's WHY we play the game.
And Phil Steele is a moron.

It goes without saying that this game is being dissected to death. Listening to the "experts" a theme emerges. They feel the teams are very close in most regards. One team might have a slight edge in one place and the other somewhere else. The majority favor Alabama because it comes down to the belief that while LSU might be a little faster, Bama is a little stronger. They feel that Bama is fast enough, and that LSU is not strong enough. If you read between the lines, this is a common theme for most of the comments. I guess we will find out on game day.

Listening to a lot today, I think those people would say the location of the game has more to do with their pick than Bama being "stronger". I would venture to say that 80% of the people picking Bama would switch if the game was in BR.

I mean, when was the last time a #1 ranked team came into Bama and beat the Tide? Oh wait, that was just last year...Wonder who the prognosticators picked in that game?

I have heard this...but aside from my belief that home field is over rated; I think this is just what they are saying because their gut feeling is harder to defend. I bet most would still favor Bama on a neutral site...albeit a little closer.
