On another note, if Fahnbulleh ever figures out how to get out of the blocks, he's gonna be next level absurd, esp in the 200
Burrell ran anchor

eta: noah williams didn't run, never heard a reason why
No but neither was the 1st place in the javelin so evens out
I wasn’t really coming to the defense of the NCAA, the guys announcement was flat out terrible.

Just laying out a scenario that potentially could have taken place had they tried to squeeze in a round Monday or Tuesday afternoon.
I mentioned it last page but imagine the uproar if they had a shotgun start yesterday afternoon then couldn't finish that round due to darkness.

If today's forecast had occurred as predicted and they weren't able to finish that round, there would have been a full field of players with ~15 holes completed. Per NCAA rules, since 18 holes weren't completed, the top 6 seeded teams would still advance.

Imagine that shitshow if those top 6 teams were not in the top 6 at that time.

Obviously they likely would have been able to complete the round today, but hindsight remains undefeated.
I can’t answer why, just know that was the case. Assuming stipulated by the NCAA.
Couldn’t agree more. That fella created this entire mess.
Right, and it brings up another issue. You had all these people posting on Twitter that the course was playable yesterday afternoon, but if you start that round and darkness sets before every team can finish, what then?

I suppose they could have finished that round today, but the forecast today was worse than either Monday or Tuesday so it was no guarantee that today would even be playable period. So what do you do if you’ve got every player in the field with 2-3 holes remaining?
Haha probably could.

Need them to get the pumps out this evening to ensure it’s not CPO come Friday.
Yeah I got ya. I can’t speak on their efforts to make the course playable after the rain.

Allegations that they didn't ready do anything to get the course ready.

All I mean is it’s tough to prepare for 8” of rain in a couple days.
That's bogus, as a member of the club, they did plenty to prepare in the weeks leading up. It was in perfect shape before this rain came through Monday.
Kind of agree, but the men aren't even playing. They're on the range.

I've got to assume the range would've been open for the women had they decided to let them to play.
Yeah the guy did not word his announcement real well, bet he wishes he could take a mulligan.

Here's a tweet showing some of the water on the course
Play had to be completed by this evening so extending til tomorrow or the weekend wasn't an option.

There's pics on twitter out there showing the course is "playable", however there are currently a few holes that still have ponds in the middle of the fairways, some of which are in landing zones off the tee.

Michigan had 5 offensive rebounds total. Tough to have 11 more given that.

LSU with 3 turnovers and only gave up 5 offensive rebounds. Weird boxscore all around. Comes down to MICH shooting 53% from the field.

ETA: Would love to see win % on a team having 3 turnovers or less and only giving up 5 offensive rebounds. Bet it's 95% or higher
Storm chaser, in Lake Charles right on the lake south of I-10 I believe
