Mirror, mirror…

Last year's field

#1 Indiana - may not win the B1G, but schedule is manageable for a likely return to the playoff.

#2 Ohio State - probable B1G Champion and contender for #1 seed

#3 Georgia - one of two best teams in SEC and should return to the playoff

#4 Texas Tech - the best team in the Big 12, but the most vulnerable of the top four because Big 12 may be a one bid league.

#5 Oregon - Obviously a good team but I think this is the team that underperforms and misses the playoff.

#6 Ole Miss - Don't know what to think of their team, but will probably fall short of the playoff this year. Still a damn good team, but schedule is brutal.

#7 Texas A&M - will not be in the playoff this year.

#8 Oklahoma - will probably drop out, but will not be as bad as A&M.

#9 Alabama - will not be in the playoff this year

#10 Miami - the class of the ACC, will likely be a top four seed this year

#11 Tulane - will not be in the playoff this year

#12 James Madison - will not be in the playoff this year

So four teams from last year definitely not in and a fifth probably not it. Besides the two G5's, they are all SEC.

Texas is definitely going to the playoff. LSU has a good chance. BYU is lurking in the Big 12. Notre Dame is going to start high enough and has a terrible schedule so they will probably be in the playoff.

Teams to watch: Penn State, Southern California, Washington, Iowa in the B1G, SMU in the ACC,

G5 teams to watch - Navy, Jacksonville State, UNLV, Memphis

Easy schedule for my Nits this year. 10-2 and the playoffs is a great possibility.
