How in the world would anybody know? It's been 23 years since you've won the SEC. I get that it's been 40 years since we won a national Championship, but we have been good most years and competed for a championship in some of those years.

Tennessee? Not so much.

I don't think the college football world cares whether UT is up or down or sideways. But, I don't think the college football world cares about any team enough. There have been times that each name brand has been in the dumps, and the excitement for CFB rages on. I mean... really. Bama, Michigan, OSU, USC (west), UCLA, Florida, Penn State....TN..... all of these programs have sucked from time to time (or at the very least been down), and college football has lost zero appeal to the wider audience. It's just part of it. The only people that make statements like "college football is better when (insert team) is good" are the fans of those teams.

I get it. I underrstand. But it just isn't true. For every mourning UT fan, there are just as many fans, if not more, reveling in your sorrow.

A short run in the 90’s, with down uga and bama programs, really inflated these vols in their delusional heads. They don’t realize it’s 2020.
