This is a pretty neat article. Some SEC schools have been represented well! Nice going Florida and Georgia!!!
And I'm sure Bama with ALL that NFL talent will be near the top somewhere!!..... well maybe not. Let me just scroll a little I'll find them here soon. Bama fans always tell me how great their players are. And the best play in the Superbowl. So they should be... here.... somewhere..... right... RIGHT???
WRONG No BAMA player has scored a touchdown, field goal, extra point, two-point conversion, or safety in Super Bowl history.

I know you're trolling but that it pretty crazy no Bama player has ever scored. I feel 20 for LSU is disappointing lol

Bart Starr threw for 2 TDs in Super Bowl 1.
I stopped looking beyond that.

I always hated it that Ditka let Jim McMahon score 2 and William Perry score another instead of Walter Payton getting at least 1 TD in the 85 super bowl.

Five SEC QBs have started/won Super Bowls.
Two are the Manning brothers. The other three are Bart Starr, Joe Namath and Ken Stabler.

Seems a bit bogus not giving QBs any points. For instance, Steve Young threw 6 TDs in Super Bowl XXIX. That article (and the stat methodology it is based on) gives him zero credit.

Yep I agree. So basically they are saying the QB’s are irrelevant.

I guess you don't understand how points scored in football works huh

Do you? Since you seem to be suggesting that the points scored for passing TD's don't get attributed to both the receiver and passer.

You could compile the passing points list

Touchdown passes are attributed to the wide receiver who scored the touchdown.

Bama could make the case that a lot of their players get drafted by teams at the bottom of the heap and will be rare for them to get into a Super Bowl. Also, guys like Hightower likely won't be pick-sixing in a Super Bowl even if they do play in one.
If I had to bet on the first Bama player though to get on this list, it could be Eddie Jackson if the Bears ever get there. Not sure if he returns kicks or punts there but I wouldn't be surprised to see him making a pick six in the big game one day.

And they are also attributed to the QB as well. You know this because it's always been like this.
