I think the Arky fans have made it to stage 3 of the grief process. They've already made it through denial and anger(although some haven't quite yet). Bargaining is what's happening now. Then depression, then acceptance.

Gus going back to Ark and leaving AU is about the same as Franchione leaving Bama and going to A&M. Biggest difference between the two scenarios , Gus is liked at AU and they haven't lied to him.

Not going to get into the "miracle or not" debate, but you are aware that one of those "miracles" was against a team that obliterated Arkansas 52-0. Yes, transitive property and all that, but seriously? Comparing what AU needed to do to beat Alabama, when the same Bama squad basically called off the dogs with 20 minutes left on the clock?
Wasn't AU up 28-3, and Arky only closed that to 18 thanks to an incredible kick off return setting up an easy TD?

Maybe Gus will pull a spurrier for y'all. dominate the SEC for a while, take a few years in the NFL and come back to the SEC for a job where no one actually expects or even remembers winning

Auburn fans have a long way to go just to catch up with the Gus threads from last off-season. Now we're already back to the Bert is the GOAT but we are going to get Gus, even though we don't want him.
