Oh man - that looks awesome!
I saw that in person - Langham ran right at us on his way into the end zone.
That game was cold, wet, and miserable but it was still amazing.
Thanks for posting. Can't wait to watch the whole thing.

Why is that specific interception the play that changed college football? I'm guessing from the trailer, that it's because it allowed Alabama to go on to the national championship, thus proving that a conference game wouldn't necessarily hurt your chances of winning a championship.
Is that about right?

I think that's what they're saying. When I first read "the play that changed college football," I figured it was going to be about the legalization of the forward pass....
Looks like an awesome documentary, can't wait to watch it.

I was there too - actually we had about 10 family members there wrapped in blankets. The weather was absolutely miserable - it was so cold that we were buying sweatshirts to put over our sweatshirts.
I can honestly say that it was one of the most electrifying football games I have ever seen in person. Part of that was due to Langham's int. but part of it was, though we may not have realized it at the time, due to winning something different and new.

I was 5 years old and we were driving from my grandmother's house back home when that play happened. The only reason I remember that play is because my mother nearly drove off the road due to celebration when Langham intercepted that football.

I always wondered how this game would have played out if it was played at a neutral field.

I was there. Legion Field went nuts. SEC seat cushions had been handed out before the game and they were flying from everywhere when Langham took it to the house. I'll never forget that memory.

"Home field advantage" sure didn't help us in the '93 game.
