Holy frick you are obtuse.
This was a problem 20 years ago with the original vote. A small arse portion of the population turned out to vote and the flag still passed by only ~10%.
America isn’t a direct democracy for a reason. The legislature should have changed it then and they should change it now.
The Lt Governor has now spoken out, so it is now inevitable.
Tater knows if he doesn’t act he will be remembered among the likes of Barnett as one of the worst governors in MS history. He has no choice.
The flag is changing, and those who would try to keep it are fighting a losing battle.

Also blatantly false, the two aren't even comparable.

I agree that it will change at some point, I have no doubt about it and it should if it really affects the majority of the black population.
My issue is, where do you draw the line on making concessions to the offended?

@H_Kylin congrats????State of Mississippi AD’s and coaches. Your black players detest confederate flags, statues, symbols of hate.Don’t preach FAMILY to your players if you don’t live it. They shouldn’t have to deal with that. Use your influence to make change. #BlackLivesMattter
129 D1 programs. Why the hell did they go to a place that they hated so much

Yea, I’m a pussy.
You are. You don't give two shits about last weekend in Chicago and all the murders that transpired. Flags and statues are your bigger concern, not those black lives who were murdered by black people. You're two faced with a double standard. You're a racist pig only caring about you and those gosh darn flags that oppress you so much. The horror.
Your sadness for George Floyd though knows no bounds. You must be devastated. Never mind the 3 year old little girl who was murdered last weekend. Never mind the idiots walking the streets and damaging both white and black business's because they're a bunch of animals who are lazy and feel entitled to government handouts and don't want a job. Did you get one of those 80" tv's for free because of the pain you feel for George ? You're garbage just like all the other fake arse BLM supporters who don't want to be held accountable.

He works for ESPN. What did you expect? ESPN even got Mike Golic turning to a liberal voice. I liked Mike too.

You sound like a giant pussy. America isn’t a direct democracy because there are just too many day-to-day issues for the citizens to come out and vote on everything. But, when a given topic is important enough it does get put on ballots so the people can directly decide.
Sorry you can’t accept what the people decided on the flag 20 years ago. It’s screwed up you think the legislature should have just changed it anyways. Put it on the ballot again this year and let the state decide. Twenty years is a long time so the vote could very well go the other way. But if it doesn’t, try not to throw a fit.

If you don’t know anything else about Southerners, you should know that they don’t mind fighting a loosing battle. I’ve said all along that if the opposition would have came out and been sincere in their acknowledgement of the history of the flag, then most of the people opposing the new flag would have pulled it down for them. But they didn’t. They came out and demanded the insensitive object be removed. They were looking for a fight and they came to the right place

This is the rare 2nd level thinking so rarely found in public discourse. The whole BLM and racial grievance movement is phony. These are people spoiling for a fight and they’re going to get it too.

You should be banned for calling people racist on this board.
Are there any black people who want to keep the flag???
Yes.
Are they racist?.... no.
