They'd be a week late to Florida-Tennessee

The fact that ESPN thinks that NYC is the "heartbeat of America" explains everything that is wrong about ESPN.

I suppose youre just mad they didn't go to UF-Tennessee
It is the premier game of the week.
Plus they could have tied it into a hurricane relief effort. You know....number scrolling across the bottom for people to donate.

I will be there! There is actually a bar in Manhattan called "Legends" It is an LSU only bar. Only bar on the island dedicated to one NCAA fan base..that I know of.

NYC is the only city I've been to that doesn't care about college football

Kentucky Game Watch
Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 7:30pm
After starting the season 2-0 for the first time since 2012, the Gamecocks will play their home opener this Saturday night against the Kentucky Wildcats at 7:30pm. The Gamecocks will look to go 3-0 (2-0 in the SEC). Williams-Brice will be rocking but so will the Mason Jar (43 E. 30th St.) in NYC. We've had unbelievable crowds for the first two games of the season and this Saturday is expected to be no different. All Gamecock fans coming to the Mason Jar are encouraged to match the team on the field by wearing black!
For those that have not been to the Mason Jar all TVs will have the Gamecocks on with game sound. It truly is a festive atmosphere.
?We are expecting another large crowd for this game so if you can't get there early but still want to guarantee yourself a prime seat, we offer several VIP table reservations for a small donation to the NYC Gamecock Club. Please email Lou at gamecockclubofgny@gmail.com if you are interested in reserving a table. Tables fill up FAST on game day, so reserve yours for Kentucky or a future game today!
?GO GAMECOCKS!! BEAT KENTUCKY!!

Yeahhh....
I'd much rather watch Lyle and McElwain in the slap fight of the century than watch #3 Clemson vs #14 Louisville

New York is an everything town.
On Saturdays in the fall, every school has a different associated bar/bars where their fans gather together to watch their team's game. It's pretty fun.
I visited a friend in Manhattan around 2005-ish. She wasn't a football fan, so it was random that we randomly stumbled into a bar in downtown Manhattan that was wall-to-wall Georgia fans, and there wasn't even a game on. It was surreal.

Do they expect a big turnout from the Manhattan fans?
