If you believe the radio host out of Oklahoma City, Sooner fans want this move.

Mark Rodgers, who hosts an afternoon sports talk radio show on 98.1 FM-WWLS "The Sports Animal" out of Oklahoma City, estimates that half the Oklahoma callers he gets about Big 12 expansion want the Sooners to bolt the Big 12 for the SEC.
"I think there’s some apprehension about what (Oklahoma) would be getting into from a competitive level," he said, "but there’s plenty of excitement about it, too."
Scott Towery, one of those listeners, is an OU season-ticket holder and a member of the Touchdown Club, Oklahoma's preeminent booster organization.
"OU should make every effort to join the SEC as soon as financially possible," he said. "One, to join what is currently considered the most elite college football conference in the nation. Second, and most importantly, to get away from Texas."

It would be a good move for both if expansion were to take place. They have a great brand, and would bring money to the table. Just sayin

Agree. But, they better get used to getting beat several times during regular season.

They have the entire state of Texas as their own.

Bring in OK and get rid of Auburn's archrival Vandy

Nobody in Texas would choose OU over LSU, Bama, aggies, Tenn, UF, or UGA if they wanted to leave the state (or stay in in the case of Aggies)
OU cannot recruit well and it'll only hurt them joining in the SEC

The money that really matters is TV revenue (ETA: Which they don't bring based on their states low TV viewership). Other than that yeah they would boost the rep of the conference because of their historical prestige but that doesn't really equate into dollars. Also I have a feeling that prestige would start to lose its luster incredibly quickly. I don't think they'd be built for a year in year out success in the SEC with their disadvantage of in-state recruiting.

I would trade all 3 of our current Big 12 teams for them in a heartbeat.
That'd be perfect, get rid of 3 schools that don't fit in and get back to a 12 team league

SEC needs to lock down at 14, I think if you bring in any more teams it really starts to screw with the traditions and conference schedule
