ESPN unhappy with the new Omaha stadium

As we all know the new stadium faces in a direction where the wind is constantly blowing into the stadium, making home runs virtually impossible. This favors the small ball teams (hello UCLA).
A friend of mine spoke with Coach Fox who told him that ESPN has given marching orders for Omaha to "fix" the problem or they're moving all games to another location.

It should go to Hoover. There's a mall. and plenty of room for RVs.

Technically, no.
But in reality, whoever is writing the biggest check makes the rules, and right now that's ESPN.

This may be the best post you've ever made on this board.

If that's the case, Omaha/TD Ameritrade folks will move in the fences before they lose the CWS.

Viewers for the championship game was down 37% from last year.

huh... I don't think it works like that. NCAA and the city of omaha have an agreement for the next 35 years. They could move it somewhere else, but that's not gonna happen.

Whats wrong with that?
Seriously, college baseball fans seem to pride themselves in how into baseball they are. So much so that they choose to follow a version of the sport where some of the best players forgo the league all together. I would think a grind it out style would suit these fans more than bloop and a blast style baseball.

How could ESPN not be displeased?
The CWS finals sucked, but the NCAA needs to fix the baseball itself.

I follow college baseball pretty religiously and I didn't watch either game of the finals. I don't like watching a team that hit under .250 unearn-run their way to a title.
