Like i said, he's done some dumb things. that just sound too convient for somebody to say he would make a statement like that.

if he REALLY wanted to go to MSU and bonded with coaches/players, i could see him making this mistake

i've seen much more highly intelligent people make similar frickups in emotional situations

If what ESPN is reporting is true, how likely is it that MS State was also willing to pay Cam but was outbid. If Cam said, "the money was too much," that does not rule out that State was willing to pay him.

Are you fricking retarded, we wouldnt have said shite if we were outbid for him.

well MSU's story is that cam would take a 10% reduction to go to MSU b/c of his relationship with mullen

while i can easily see MSU putting money on the table, they'd have to be complete morons to open themselves up to this inquiry by reporting it and running with it

There's no way MSU coaches would just make this up. Sorry, but no. If they thought he was bought but didn't know for sure they'd stew for a while and bitch about it but no way they'd take the plunge and go to the NCAA with specific complaints about phone calls like this.

Auburn's fricked.

Jacob, did you decide to just reemphasize my points for effect or did you really think I was being sarcastic in any way?

I can just see the MSU coaches now, "180,000 is fine but we will NOT give you 200,000."

This is the first part of all of this that kind of makes me feel bad for Cam. If true, he's either retarded. Or, he really wanted to go to MSU, and felt bad that he couldn't due to daddy's greed. In his remorse, he called to apologize and said something stupid.

And if you don't think on an impulse he could have blurted that out, well, laptop, cheating, tickets, etc.

True, but it also does not rule out the possibility that State went directly to the SEC and offered nothing.

It would be fairly easy for State to send in evidence damning Auburn while failing to self-report.

And if State holds all the evidence, they could very well get off scott-free.

You know what no one has brought(cause there is no proof of it) but if Cam and his dad were ballsy enough to ask for 200G's out of JUCO, they had to have asked UF for some cash when he was a 5* #2 QB recruit in the nation out if HS right?

It's not like there would be any evidence if they were careful. They were in a much better position to hide any wrongdoing than Auburn was in all of this.

Oh man, and all the PLOIs we were to receive. Every time I even START to feel bad for the "Family," I think about that.

And I can't help but develop a shite-eating grin.

Kind of makes you wonder. We knew nothing about anything before the FBI got involved today. Now we have shite actually coming out of the bag. I don't think the timing of this story is a coincidence. People are starting to talk now that the Feds are involved.

If ESPN had the tapes, they would have played them. While this doesn't encourage me at all, I'll wait until I hear the tapes.

I don't know if there are any tapes...why would they say "alleged conversations?"
