In regards to Gene Chizik, how many coaches have survived a player getting paid like this?

thats really REALLY doubtful unless auburn pulled him. sec/ncaa wont rule that quickly
they will since they have cold hard facts. The UNC-gate took forever because they have to ask players..etc

Holy shite AU. I really doubted this stuff was true but if these recordings are verified...:prayerssent:

Does anybody really know the possibility of this happening?

if they cant find a deposit slip or cash in a mattress and connect the proceeds from someone with a connection to auburn, no rules were broken.
sorry, but thats pretty much the way it is, regardless of what everyone wants to believe. the cash is the only proof.

well since the FBI is doing the investigation, they can request deposit statement from his father

But wouldn't the ncaa/sec look extremely irresponsible if something doesn't happen?
They almost have to do something
USC was one thing, there were allegations after bush went through. Now here is auburn, with all this shite on the table in the middle of the season..
Something has to happen

Did you ever see a $200,000 money trail in the Albert Means' ordeal (receipts, etc)? Just saying. The NCAA can do whatever they want. They don't have to prove anything.

You think a guy dumb enough to call Miss St. and ask for money for his son is smart enough to hide a paper trail for 200k?
There was no proof of Means being paid, there was a secret witness that testified against Bama (phillip fulmer) and that was enough evidence for the infractions committee at the time.

You do realize that recruits or their families trying to extort money from a university is also against NCAA bylaws right?
You do realize that by asking for money outright they likely forfeited his amateur status right?
I mean shite, if a kid signs a napkin saying AFTER he graduates he's signing with an agent, he's ineligible than don't you think asking to be paid on tape counts just as badly and admitting on tape that the money paid was too much to allow you to go to that school?
