UGA defense IS NOT generational. You can miss me with that. I saw the 1 team they played that was good (Bama) and Bryce Young solidified his Heisman campaign by putting up playstation numbers on them. The only reason this game may be different is because Metchie is out and it'll be easier to double Williams. Metchie is a huge loss for Bama.
Yeah, the #2 team who blew out Ohio State wasn’t any good

UGA should win easily this time and I expect them to do so.
Alabama is underpowered and UGA won't have a sluggish performance again.

They also had it heavily favoring UGA in the SECCG

The #2 team that Georgia players after the game said Michigan would be the 5th best team in the SEC

Georgia should win.
Georgia is better than Alabama.
The fact that they got stomped in Atlanta was a testament to the poor coaching and bad preparation of the team.
If Kirby can’t win this next game after the wake up game, then he doesn’t deserve to be a HC at any P5 school.
Saban is the master of maximizing his team’s potential, but that doesn’t magically make his team some unbeatable monster. It’s still a very flawed and outmatched team.

No way to predict.
They are pulling this out of thin air.

Well shite, we might as well not play the game then. I remember the same predictions a month ago also.
I expect a game similar to the one played a month ago maybe a little closer but Bama still on top by 7-10 points.

[quote]The last game was tied when Metchie went out. Not saying he isn't a big loss but it's not like Alabama didn't continue to dominate without him.[/quote
Yeah his six receptions for 97 yards and TD was not much help in the first half. He went out on the drive Bama took a 7 point lead just before the half.

UGA and Bama are pretty much equal in talent.
No the most important position on the field is where Alabama is superior.

wonder what shite analytics go into that prediction because that seems ridiculous
They are putting less stock in the one SECCG data point than you are. Obviously it's a pretty important data point, but these mathematical power ratings/predictors use all of the data points. If you look at that Georgia should should be favored despite what your eyeballs saw in Atlanta in the first matchup. Common opponents, margins of victories, game control over the season all say Georgia is the better team. Also Bama probably has the worse injury situation right now and outside of QB (which is important of course) Georgia likely has the better, more experienced roster. In that light the predictor makes sense.

Espn has to pump up Georgia to further their narrative that SEC East is good.
The last Bama Georgia game will be replayed before our eyes, .....the Georgia Dline will be gassed in the second quarter, then Young has time and picks apart the weak Georgia secondary.....
Saban can pick his number in the game....

The result will hinge on Kirby’s defensive approach. He got double out thunk by the Master in the last game.
Saban’s likely thought process planning for the last game: Kirby is going to drive full speed with the d-line into the gaps and try to wreak havoc with blitz pressure from all over, just like he had done all year. Therefore, we challenge our OL and give extra help blocking with RBs and TEs.
Kirby’s actual plan: we need to contain Young and avoid him burning us with his mobility and play DBs off the ball to keep everything in front. We will not rush the gaps with our DL but will maintain gap control and clog escape lanes for Young. Pressure will come from the LBs slipping through cracks in the A and B gaps.
What happened: Bama and UGA displayed a dance show at the LOS and Sabans prep for the all out rush with extra protection played out better than even he could have expected. UGAs rush was almost always stoned due to the dance show congestion and the extra protection. Young had even more time to find his excellent WRs running rampant through UGAs zone coverage.
Double backfire on Kirby. Pure fortune for Saban that he prepared for one scenario that ended up being even more beneficial with Kirby’s complete 180 turn from what had been effective all season. One can review any UGA game (most recent being Michigan) to see the stark contrast in scheme between what they did all year vs the SECCG. IMO, the UGA staff bunked that game plan by overthinking it instead of trusting what had worked all season.
This game: UGA must employ what worked all year to have a shot at winning. They will have to go all out with the front 7 and play man and press far more often. If Young can beat what you do best, tip the cap. But make him do it and don’t give him the time to sit in the pocket and pick your average DBs apart. We all know thatYoung is exceptional, make him prove it once more against what you do best.

They are just trying to drum up some more interest in the game. Most people don't get very excited over a rematch especially when the first game was so lopsided.
