Phil Steele ranking the LSU Oline on the same tier as Auburn and Arkansas...

"Great coach, but this o-line could excel with anybody. Talent trumps coaching here."
Ask Auburn how talent trumps coaching.

Are these the new WR fap threads?

Actually, our offensive line is not any good. I don't know what those guys are smokin. We should be ranked somewhere around number 17 in the conference.

there's a difference between actual proven talent, and percieved talent based on recruiting rankings.

Cool, I think y'all win 5 games this year.

Geaux Vols! I had no idea!

I actually think UT has a chance to be decent this year. Next year may be tough because of all the linemen you are losing on both sides of the ball.

Defensive staff is a disaster and the passing game is going to suck. We aren't going any further than the offensive line is carrying us.

Sometimes I wonder if Phil Steele even watches college football.

Phil Steele is the most credible. Also, he weights offensive line as his #1 predictor of success in his annual rankings. So I would expect UT to be higher than one might expect in his list when it comes out.

You're right. Anyone that would rank a team returning 4/5 starters on its OL higher than 8th is a moron.

Well, we did sign the #1 oline class in the country a couple of years ago. Have to figure they start to produce at some point.

Seriously. Every year his predictions are more accurate than anyone else's out there over time.
He did pick AU to go undefeated in 2010 as well. And it was all due to AU returning the best Oline in the country in 2010.

I'm never one to whine about these types of rankings to the tone of "LSU is too low, gets no respect, etc." but having LSU 8th in the OL category is asinine.

I'll take your word for it. I know nothing about who LSU returns and the likely starters on the O-line.

Would not trade A&M's line for UTs. Not close. A&M is stacked and will have the best line for the 2nd year in a row.

I can't wait til A&M comes back down to reality.
