Bama played 1 OOC and lost at home by 10.
The past decade, that had always been treated as a playoff game.
The only control an AD has to help their strength of schedule is OOC scheduling.

Kirby Smart has a graduate degree from Florida State that he earned while being a grad assistant under Bobby Bowden.

The committee every year changes their position. One year it’s the “4 best”. Then the next year “it’s who is deserving”. It is never consistent. Last year TCU would not have made the “best 4 team” angle. They lost the Big 12 championship. They got in bc they were deserving.
Yes they made the national championship game but Michigan was hosed a few times with bad calls in that game. The overturned TD never should have happened. Michigan would have won the game. Possibly have beaten UGA who only escaped OSU bc a missed field goal at the end.
Would Bama beat FSU? Possibly. The reason FSU is not there is bc their QB was lost for the season. That is a bullshite excuse. It is a team sport. FSU won 3 games with their 2nd and 3rd string QB. Bama came one play from losing to Auburn who got smoked by New Mexico State. Bama has one less win and one more loss than FSU.

Did you not listen to any of the CFP committee members? They said if Jordan Travis was the QB, they would have FSU in at number 4. There was an interview yesterday on College Sports Radio of a member who said pretty much every round of discussion was based on that.
He said FSU is a different team without Travis as QB and how competitive they would be. The SOR is an arbitrary thing they are saying but it would not be said if Travis was not injured. Bc he would be in Heisman talk and they could play that up. Heisman winner (runner up). Most likely they would be number 2/3 and Texas and Bama would be up for discussion for 4th team. The only thing the FSU AD could do is schedule OOC games (the conference is in charge of conference scheduling).
So obviously, your take is that FSU should schedule 3 SEC teams to make up for the fact that the chickenshit Bama AD scheduled 1 OOC p5 game and the tide lost that one at home by 10 points.
Beating 2 SEC opponents wasn't enough.
Hell... FSU best LSU by more than Bama did.
