Let me guess... he treated them like other coaches treat their male athletes instead of pampering them?
Well if other coaches let their kids bang the athletes and then cut team mates that complain about it, then yeah that's exactly what happened.

I can see how the coach (wrong as it was) decided to protect his son at all costs but how the frick does an associate AD decide it is a good idea to do anything other than make a beeline to the Title IX office the very second he get wind of the problem? It is really some alternate universe where telling them to wipe their phones seems like the correct course of action. Hope that guy (or gal) likes selling insurance or cars because they probably just ended their career in athletics administration.
Yeah, it gets better, she's a woman and she threatened the girls with arrest for obtaining the incriminating texts from the victim's cell phone.
Sounds like that Title IX office is going to have their hands full.

You know your situation is fricked up when Haley Fagan looks like a "good guy" and a "victim".

Also Auburn has a new president who is more hands on. The old president did not care about sports. The new one does.

As is often the case this isn't correct. The girl who had the text taken had filed a charge against the other girls. The AAD was suggesting deleting the info. Still, not good, but it shows defense of the players and not the coach.

If by 'filed a charge' you mean a formal complaint with either university or law enforcement officials, what she told them to do was destroy evidence. That isn't looking out for the players at all. If it involved LE, she committed a crime.

FIFY, and no.
Edit: Meant to say that this is the young lady alleging abusive treatment.
She lists her hometown as Auburn, Alabama. I imagine she grew up wanting to play for Auburn. Sometimes, dreams don't work out.

Seems she filed a compliant with law enforcement. I agree telling them to get rid of it looks bad, but I believe she did it in an effort to protect the girls and not the coach. To the knowledge of the AAD all the coach did at that point was have a consensual relationship with a girl which violated his contract. The harassment stuff hadn't come to full light and the majority of it that is alleged happened after the texts messages were seized.
I am not defending anyone's actions, but I do get frustrated when people either purposely or out of ignorance misrepresent information. Truth is this is bad, you don't have to spin it to make it look bad.

Why wasn't this coach cut after the internal investigation?
He broke his contract by fooling around with a player, consensual or not. Once the Admin found out, they could have canned him.

He was sent packing in Sept '16, but then players recanted their statements. It isn't clear if this was voluntary or the head coach Clint asked for it of them. When it was revealed the second time he was sent packing. Clint covering it up is the ugliest part of this IMO...unless more comes from ESPN's statements of harassment. One player has already taken to Twitter to refute the quoted players version. I have no doubt something ugly went down, but it probably won't be what most think.

Well, y'all had a championship level coaching staff assembled so it's somewhat understandable that AU would take their time and try to let things work themselves out. Of course dealing with a large group of young females you never know how bad or dramatic things can get.

Its against the law for consenting adults to have a relationship? I realize its against university policy and that he should have fired the son. I dont see how this violates Title 9?

I would assume the harassment aspects are the issue. Also, if the AD didn't follow proper protocol. I do believe if you read the info it is possible the AD did what it was supposed to do when it knew certain things, etc...though some cover up attempt isn't implausible.

Stealing texts from someones phone and using that against them is a crime. Not smart to suggest destroying evidence, but im sure it was an attempt to legally protect the girls.
