re: No Hanagriff tonight?

He basically said earlier this week that there was no way in hell that he was doing postgame til 4am for this meaningless shite.

A total reset is needed. The room is filled with players that had a bunch of stars out of high school but can’t do anything in college

Unfortunately we will never know what the most mitigating factor was in the awful o-line play the last couple years.

My honest, non-emotional ranter opinion is that the coaching of the o-line didn’t match the offensive scheme that we were running. Like Sloan and Davis were not in sync with their philosophies.

I know they are all actors and all, but Central Casting fricked this one up. There is nothing about that Yankee fruitcake that would make you believe he could be a UT student.

What a complete digsht performance by Detroit. Just absolutely horrendous considering they were in the playoff hunt.

Since discussing these things has become almost normal, anybody discussing if Goff was on the take? He handled the ball today like it had burning piss on it.

Everyone said he would never play QB in college.

Not in the SEC. Maybe at a G5

Charles the Great

Did only the elite get a designation with their names back then? Like, was there a "Charles the Mediocre" running around that we never hear about because he just didn't get much press? :dunno:

This game is as meaningless as possible. Clean slate for 2026

Out of curiosity, I looked back to the Baylor bowl game from last year to see how "meaningful" it turned out being. It wasn't.

Hilton caught deep passes from Nuss. That was exciting but didnt translate to this year.

A bunch of guys played on defense who aren't on the team this year and gave up 445 passing yards.

We didnt run the ball worth a shite (115 yards). But what else is new.

Saturday will be a bunch of guys running around in LSU gear playing football. Many won't be around next year. It is what it is.

Was hoped he'd tell my all time favorite quote. A pitcher was getting beat up pretty good and he went to the mound to take him out. Pitcher said:
"coach, I'm sorry" .. Skip says "It's not your fault.. It's all my fault .. I never should have recruited you.

I had class with some of the early 90's players and got to know some of them. They all had great stories. They said Skip could be a hard-arse sometimes, but they knew he was going to lead them to the promised land.

Skip to different pitchers who were getting shelled when he went to the mound to make a change:

"I am trying to win a championship here, and you aren't helping"

"You are embarrassing yourself, your family, your girlfriend, and your maker"

And maybe the most efficient:

"Get the frick off of my mound"

Word is Lacy to LSU and Berry to Ole Miss with Frank

My understanding is that we will for sure get Lacy but are going to likely lose Berry, who is going with Frank to Oxford.

The 8 home games in SEC play include Kentucky, Texas, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee. Those games alone are worth the price of season tickets. PMAC is going to be LIT for all of them.

You just might learn more about your team in a loss than by beating UT-Arlington by 70 points.

UT-Arlington is not a bad team. They beat A&M earlier this season. They are definitely better than some of the road-kill teams we have played....and we beat them by 65. Yeah I would like to see a few better games pre-SEC, but today was pretty impressive.

You must not bet much then. An over two minute drive in garbage time touchdown with over a minute to go is a back door cover. Not a bad beat. It hurts all the same

This was a bad beat because the game was 1 yard away from being a 42 point lead.

Agreed, tiger stadium would have been empty. It’s not different anymore

I would like to present a counter argument. I think the people who end up with playoff tickets would be the people who actually want to be in the stadium instead of the corporate donors who like to leave early.
