Oklahoma dominates ranking systems which do not take championships into account, because they're always highly ranked. They just never do anything noteworthy with those high rankings.

Oklahoma has benefited like no other being an above average team in a garbage conference. They have been gifted a spot in the playoffs four times and couldn’t win a single game, not to mention losing a ton of BCS games. The most overrated team of the past 20 years.

ESPN analyst, not ESPN. Guess that one word just slipped your mind. It was in the title of the article you linked, right after ESPN.

Georgia has played a much tougher national schedule than LSU. ND, Clemson, Oregon, North Carolina, etc.All wins. And they have beaten every team they have played in the playoffs. And yes that includes Bama. Last year they won the one that counted. 2 times NC. Back to back and looking good for #3. And to top it off they trashed 4 loss LSU. It really wasn’t that big of a deal

Uh yeah.

Two times they were 1 win away from the NC.

Georgia is new at winning titles in the BCS/CFP eras.

BCS Titles are only marginally more legitimate than titles claimed prior to the BCS. The BCS rarely had the best 2 teams at the end of the season playing in the title game. It is 2 times as difficult, at best, to win a title under the current system due to the requirement of playing 2 bowl games a week or so apart against very good opponents who have won enough in the regular season to get in the top 4. in 8 years UGA has played in 3 title games and won 2. Ohio State managed to win the first one and play in another which wasn't close to being competitive. UGA lost one in OT in what is widely called the best title game ever. UGA would have stacks of natty's had they always required actually playing the best teams in the nation on the field, as they do now and will in the future, and the evidence is abundantly clear. CFB has been played 100+ years and the CFP has existed 8. UGA has played in the title game in those 8 years 38% of the time and have wone 25% of the titles available. Ohio State, who stacked up beauty contest natty's, has managed to win 12.5% of the titles available and have only managed to get in the title game 25% of the time and have been whacked like a rented mule in 50% of those games. It will only get worse for teams who won beauty contest natty's like Ohio State and Notre Dame when they actually have to win them on the field and it will get better for programs like UGA who do not enjoy the bias required to win beauty contest natty's but can indeed, as they have proven,. win natty's on the field.

2012 is a pretty good example of this. There is no doubt that UGA was as good as Alabama as the SEC Championship Game proved....but Notre Dame, the biggest beauty queen in the nation, played in the title game when they were, at best, the 3rd best team in the nation. UGA may have lost to Alabama in a rematch in 2012 but history indicates that rematches are pretty dicey affairs....

Ohio State has only won one natty on the field in 2014. The other 183 or whatever the number is that Ohio State claims were ALL beauty contests and each and every one of them is also claimed by someone else. None of them are legit....and OSU has managed to win one and only one legit title and make it to another title game where they were beaten like a rented mule. The BCS System was marginally better than the poll era and the CFP system is a substantial improvement....the extended playoff will be even better and occasionally, not often but maybe 5% of the time, a team will come out of nowhere who would have never been looked at in the poll or BCS or CFP era and will win a natty.

Exactly! UGA has been irrelevant up until the last 3-4 years

UGA has 4 SEC titles in 20 years.
LSU has 4 SEC titles in 20 years.

UGA has a 77.94% winning % in 20 years.
LSU has a 75.09% winning % in 20 years.

UGA has 1 season below .500 in 20 years.
LSU has 2 seasons below.500 in 20 years.

UGA has played in 3 natty's and won 2, on the field.
LSU has played in 3 natty's and won 3, one on the field and the other 2 in beauty contests where one year there were 2 equally pretty teams selected as national champions.

IF UGA has been irrelevant in 16-17 years of the last 20 LSU is right there with them....in reality both have been pretty impressive over the last 20 years and, had Alabama not been a dynasty the likes of which CFB has never seen there is little doubt that both would have been even more impressive...and LSU may have been very impressive over that span.

Using the same criteria Ohio State uses to claim national Titles UGA and Ohio State have exactly the same number of natty's. UGA's first natty predates Ohio States by 22 years. UGA has won a legitimate national title every 20 years since Ohio State won its first....the same number as Ohio State. More importantly, since the title has been won on the field in a meaningful way and not by way of a beauty contest UGA has won 2 and played in 3 while OSU has won one and played in 2....and missed another by losing to UGA.

that article is one guy's opinion. Measure actual winning percentage, though, and tennessee is tied with Nevada-Reno at #50, just ahead of Louisiana-Lafayette, 10 spots behind Fresno State. LOLOLOL

And yet always loses to the SEC. Florida, LSU, Bama, and Georgia own the state of Ohio. Not that we want it, meth capital and all….
