I don't think the comment was a slight to Saban or even specific to Bama. Many teams had been kicking our teeth in, including everyone in the SEC for a couple of years. Hell, UGA did it last year.

It was more that the culture had sunk in by Bama. The free freefall to program oblivion had reversed.

Sam's teams will always play hard. Win or lose.

Lol. No one outside of Bama and UGA from the SEC have a shot of making the playoffs this year. ESPN keeps outdoing themselves.

Arky will regress this season even if the team improves, they were flying way under radar last season and caught some people early plus no one had a real idea of arky identity 8-4 is the ceiling I think lsu or usc will be the surprise team from the sec(no playoff for either)

Pittman has Arkie going in the right direction but 2022 aint the time. Let's see in about 2024. The curse of Nutt is still in full effect.

As you’d expect, Arkansas is the only team from the SEC

Pittman is such a solid coach he will have Arkansas consistently at 8-4. Arkansas fans expecting to seriously contend for championships in this conference bc of his success in Year 2 should really pump the breaks until Pittman can start pulling top 10 classes tho. Which Arkansas has never done once, let alone for a full recruiting cycle. You aren’t winning this conference averaging 20th ranked in recruiting no matter who the coach is.

Probably not this year but 2023 looks better with Jefferson, experience at RB and better WR depth. Sam is nothing like Nutt as he sure as hell wouldn't go 9-4 with that team.

I doubt they caught any team off guard last year. 2020 was more honest, expected to go winless in the SEC three years in a row but won three SEC games. Beating ranked Mississippi state was a shock as the day before, Mike Leach was riding on a wagon in pirate gear.

It will take awhile but Sam will improve recruiting at Arkansas. What he will do is what Bert and Morris have failed to do and that is get the most out of his players. Bert had a very weak work ethic and didn't put in the time needed to be successful. Chad was an egomaniac who didn't listen to the complaints or problems of his players and thus resisted him for two years. To the point that players on purpose quit in games in hopes of getting him fired, it worked.

Y’all were deeper at Wideout last year including returning starters and a first round receiver. Kj will have to progress in order for the team to continue 8-4 or better. I would say yeah y’all prolly caught a few teams off guard like texas and played A&M the game after king got hurt. I would pump the breaks a little. Defense will be good if not better with those transfers though.

What about LSU? Will Arkansas beat LSU with ease?

Wut?

Our schedule was brutal last year and the SEC screwed us with a zillion 11am games.

We are loaded Bammer.

I assume you meant to say "played the A&M game after King got hurt" because the game immediately following King getting his leg broken was New Mexico.

Baylor, NC St and BYU?

Seems like a pretty healthy stretch…

"Loaded" by Arkansas standards doesn't really strike fear into anyone.

Maybe A&M.
