ESPN/Disney refunds & fees reductions

So, my understanding is that approximately 60% of our monthly cable/streaming service bills for channels programming is ESPN. They pay conferences, etc for broadcast rights and charge subscribers accordingly. Since March we’ve been getting a bunch of reruns and other nonsense. May not get much better until 2021. Aren’t we due for some reflection of this in what we pay? I got refunds and premium reductions from State Farm. What can we do to press Disney’s button?

Cancel your cable?
I always cancel when no sports are available and turn it back on when the season begins. Not much else other than sports I want to watch.

It's nowhere near 60% but ESPN has long been the biggest taker of a cable/satellite/ streaming bill.

Carriers should drop the BIG 10 Network

Find another cable company that will work out a plan when ESPN is not worth it right now.

This.
I dropped my entertainment package to bare bones after college football ended.
Kicking it back up just before opening weekend.
Direct tv prorates the billing by the day.

Pretty sure you’re best bet is to cancel you’re not getting a refund

I used to do that around college baseball/basketball/football but got tired of dealing with it at went with Hulu.

I dropped YouTube TV the day March Madness was canceled. Will not turn it on until college sports come back.

I dropped mine when sports stopped. Put it back on last week for baseball and hockey. Only watch sports or impractical jokers this point on cable. I have Hulu and Netflix for tv shows.

This is what I do, except with Hulu. During Season = Hulu Live. Rest of the year = regular Hulu.
