Yet, the original thread with her article that Magilla started was anchored. This is only stickied because some guy at ESPN read her article and posted it to their home page.

Question: Are we all using some lady's blog as a good news source now?
Where have you been? I am pretty sure graffiti on the bathroom wall qualifies as a credible source these days.

Fox news is a major news outlet in the US. If we had to use credible sources their whole business model would shut down

Here is the NtY story... Here We Go Again
What they’ll miss is that since the last time Auburn was flagged by the NCAA (20 years ago) ten other SEC programs have been tagged for major violations. Truth? Who needs it? Perception is easier to manage.
This particular story began to unravel almost at the moment it surfaced. In addition to the fact that some of the timelines Roberts proposed simply don’t add up, those she counted as contributors to her hatchet job immediately backed off.
Not surprisingly given her history, the majority of the sources quoted in Roberts’ story have already taken to Twitter to refute the content and/or context of their alleged quotes.
Once the disputed quotes are removed, Roberts is left with a handful of nothing.
All she has is a story about an armed robbery in which McNeil was charged, some possible questions about the adequacy of his due process which are better posed to his lawyer and/or the judge, and a petulant “reporter” angry that no one will return phone calls from something called “Roopstigo”.
A neighbor’s cat had that once. Nearly killed the poor guy.

How bad has this board gotten some ask? This thread getting a sticky is a glaring example of how bad it has gotten.

Way to expose yourself. I am interested to know which news organization is doing it right?

Now that Joe Sh dit is reporting on it it must be legit. He would like nothing more than to bring down AU.

well between MSNBC being a left wing fox news and CNN deciding that there is no room for investigative journalism in their budget the honest answer is no one.
although Al Gore's Aljazeera is promising as they're very well respected across the rest of the world. I have no doubt that with a little time and american influence they'll be as shitty as the rest of them.

I have a problem with auburn paying players and "breaking" in the same title.

I was with you up until you said Al Gore. Nothing credible about that man.

Anything aout AU is gospel on this board but put something up about the lord saban and see how fast it is deleted. Hypocritical!!!!

I laughed...that's what this tread is missing...people not taking the issue and themselves too seriously.

1. How many times in the last 5 years has Alabama/Nick Saban/Whoever been accused on a national scale of potentially paying players?
2. How many times in the last 5 years has Auburn/Chizik/Muschamp/Whoever been accused on a national scale of potentially playing players?
3. Which is more reliable: ESPN/NYT or AuburnUndercover?
After you've answered those 3 questions, come back to me when you have a better understanding of why rival fans may give AU fans a hard time. Have a great day

Considering ESPN isn't independently reporting this but rather using quote from a discredited "journalist"'s blog, I'd go with AuburnUndercover at the moment
Especially considering the people quoted in the article other than the felon have said their quotes were misappropriated and twisted
