The locker room when I was at LSU 7 years ago was better than the current one in Carolina. But there’s no money to compensate these young men for the revenue they bring to the school #JustSaying

The players don't bring that much money to the schools.

If the players were worth all that money, there would be football leagues all over the place capitalizing on the billion dollar market paying these players big money.

And yet the last attempt was the opposite even though it was using players who were older, more experienced and probably better than the ones in college football in general.

The draw is the schools. Always has been. If Erik Reid had gone to Alabama, I'd probably follow his career more and be more invested in him. But he went to LSU, as such he's not where my interest goes. And it's the same for LSU fans - they'll follow his career because he want to LSU, not because he is "Erik Reid".

I see the time he had at LSU helped him get a job making millions of dollars. Maybe he should invest that into the demographic at LSU that has a less likely probability of doing that...

Is he really upset that the private donation money wasn’t spent on academic scholarships?

Does he ever want to be welcomed back to LSU?

Eric Reid has made $15.9M in his 6 year NFL career. I wonder what portion of that he has used to assist the young men at his school or others.

It may be a lot of it, I truly don't know, but it seems like a relevant follow up question to ask.

I dont even understand his point. It sounds like his issue is actually with the NCAA, not LSU.

I'm not sure he even realizes that.

It concerns a fricking locker room of a sec football team. And it’s a former player... are you dense?

Notice that the college players since say 2000 going forward have a problem with just playing the game for a scholly like those from a 100 years. Why is that. F um.

He's right, they deserve tuition reimbursement, room and board, trainers, health insurance, tutors, preferred access to the alumni network/local business and a monthly stipend for laundry etc..

Can't wait for Mr. Reid's new corporation to present their profit sharing plan.

Yeah, which was countered by someone representing LSU that it was built by private donation money.

And then...

We already tried paying players in basketball and it just got us months worth of ridicule.
