Why not just have 2 league that are nationally equally distributed?
I mean why doesn’t the SEC pick up some west and north teams?
Make 2 leagues that are national. And don’t give me proximity to school, we are essentially talking pro ball now.
If that’s what this is, let’s just make NFL lite teams and be done.

I mean color me stupid if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure like 95% of the threads made have said the same shite. Lol

Because we don’t want that. We want to be able to shite talk our friends that are fans of other local schools. The logistics behind everything becomes overtly complicated. Good luck scheduling the USC women’s field hockey team to travel across the fricking country to Penn State for a mid-week game on a Tuesday.

$100 million will help.

now that we have the playoff, i think radical restructuring isn't needed. however, I wouldn't be beyond teams (football only, not women's field hockey) being a part of a "second" division, where there would be some cross-conference games, for instance you could have the #3 team in the SEC play the #3 ACC team during the SEC and ACC championships, #4 SEC could play #4 ACC, so on and so forth. and you could rotate it so one year you play the ACC, then next the big 10, pac 12, etc.

Even though I just started one of these threads, I do agree they are not adding any new info.

You just described bowl games

Honestly I think every team in the ncaa should go independent and let the dominoes fall where they may.
That way every team makes there own schedule and if you go 12 - 0 playing nobody's then you don't get into the playoffs. TV money is distributed depending on if they pick up your games and depending on who you play.
That would make schools much more money then playing in any conference.

Not SEC bowl games. SEC is constantly playing "higher seeded" teams from other conferences.

not exactly, if an SEC team whips the shite out of some OOC team there is always cope and arguments that can be made. imagine if these other conferences had to all play the SEC one day, or even if big 10 played all ACC one year

I think an interesting concept would be to cannibalize the Big 12 and Pac 12, get enough to form a new Southwest division, and basically create a second conference (under the same governing management as the SEC, which has been very successful).
Take the Arizona schools, they'd be the Western border. Consider Mizzou and Texas as the Eastern border, and fill in the blanks with good schools. The Big 12 wasn't a bad conference, but it was run horribly, so it collapsed. The SEC doesn't run things badly, it would work a lot better.
12 in the "real SEC", 12 in the Western side. Divisions remain what they were for the 12-team SEC, with a similar arrangement for the new group. 8 "conference" games, then 3 from the other group. Leave one for true OOC.
4 team conference playoff, instead of 2 (basically keeping the same format, then adding a final conference showdown before the bowls and playoffs).
Hell, you could possibly bring in Utah and Colorado to that format, so 4 from the Pac 12. You already have Texas, Oklahoma, Mizzou and A&M, that's the second 4. Figure Oklahoma State, maybe Kansas, Baylor, and one last Big 12 team- and you're set.

Looks like I could be right...
